Hi there everyone! :3
I just wanna say that this Shakespearean sonnet is dedicated to
crimsonred77 and
maxgoof, in memory of their cats (respectively): Cow and Waffles. (-_-)
Yep, dogs aren't the only ones that should be allowed to go to Heaven! :O
Enjoy everyone! ^^
Until next poem! =)

I love you. Seriously... this made my very shitty evening. To know that someone cares enough about me to sit down and write a poem for my dead cat... well that's just incredible. You're such an amazing friend... and I swear, I'm gonna write a poem "All Wolfmurs..."
The poem was beautiful... I'm at a loss for words. Thank you so much.

A, B, A, B, A, B: A simple sonnet with a classic scheme, very lively, very punctual. I liked the eye rhymes you used, as well as the expanded vocabulary: I'm glad to see you give your readers ample credit; I've taken a few classes where the poetry was just a bit too simple language-wise, but this is ample proof that a poem can be both pert yet acknowledge it's readers' perspicacity. ((I'd like to buy a vowel)) What I really enjoyed seeing here was you playing with an age old cliche' yet still managing to add your own personal touch to it, very nice.
Though. . . artistic critique and professionalism aside. . . -cough- "DOGS RULE, CATS DROOL." -cough- ((I love cats too. . . just LESS XD))
All in all, another well written piece, I'd love to see another sonnet from you in the future: it's one of my favorite forms, next to the sestina. I'm glad I stumbled upon this little number, it's just heavenly -badumtish-

Well, I'm not one to deviate from a pre-established format; that's the...perfectionist in me. (-_-)
Still, sound is very important to me, after all, "sonnet" is Italian for "little song," right? x3
But yes, when it comes to meter and rhyme, an extended vocabulary is a great asset, as you'll be searching for just the right synonym, with the right syllabic. I've learned many new words thanks to my Romantic writing style. I try not to implement too many "$50 dollar" words, as they are called, but, I won't lie, a few of my works have suffered from such usage. ^^;
And yes, I do so enjoy playing with old cliches and adages! They're the easiest concepts to work into my style because everyone knows them, and, as you may have already noticed, I enjoy portraying the commonly associated in unique lights! \(^o^)/
(And yes, I do believe the canine family to be superior!) =P
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Joey. Hehe, I've many other sonnets in my gallery; though, I'm not too proud of them all. =/
