For my final 'photo-op' of this last "Throwback Thursday" of October, 2018, I have one more digital pic (taken with the camera feature of my smartphone) of yet another dog I'd encountered at the 2018 edition of "National Night Out" - held at the Margate Sports Complex in Broward County, Florida...
My previous 'photo-op' - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/29153165/ - showed off an drug-sniffing dog. But this time, the canine depicted has an equally important job as a weapon-sniffing dog (detecting, with its sensitive snout, gun powder and other explosives, as well as certain guns and rifles). Despite the important tasks, during its off time the dog is as friendly as all-get-out - to its owner/officer and many of the spectators to this annual summertime event - as he sits patiently inside his assigned van...
FOOTNOTE: It's just a coincidence that I'd chosen today - October 25, 2018 - to post this picture of a weapon-sniffing dog, as many of these canines are now on the job throughout the 'Sunshine State', in the wake of a recent discovery of a series of pipe bombs sent to prominent Democratic figures (e.g. Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, et al). Apparently, the origin of said bombs appears to be at an Opa Locka, Florida Post Office. More details to come...
FOLLOW-UP: Taking less time than expected, the FBI captured prime suspect (and south Florida resident) Cesar Sayoc, charging him with sending out fourteen separate pipe bombs by mail to various Trump critics. You can read more about it at this link:
