When I was a kid, I had these two stretchy toys, a lizard and a monkey. At some point, I got a gold question mark ring. I put it around the lizard's waist to use as a belt and decided he was a super hero with stretchy powers! The lizard and the monkey became a crime-fighting duo, with the lizard being the peppy, rather air-headed superhero, and the monkey being the more down-to-earth, snarky sidekick. Some time along the span of time that I played with these two, some asshole kid twisted the monkey's hand so much that it fell off. Naturally, when it came time to design these two, that translated to him having lost his arm at some point and replacing it with a robot arm. So this is a character design for those two toys! Based on what the toys looked like, I made the lizard a blue five-banded skink (the toy's completely blue), and the monkey a Capuchin monkey. Such fond memories!
