i already know what the future of this baby will be. it will end up only living for the sake of fighting until it meets a very charismatic yinglet who wants to become king of his own country and be defeated by it and forced to join its gang of mercenarys. Both will have sexually confiusing moments and will fight together for that one yinglets dream of becoming a king and will come to a kingdome where that yinglet gang become royalty because they defeated some other kingdome in battle and the want to become a king yinglet says "i can only accept someone my equal who only follows his own dream" and out little yinglet will then decide to leave the band of mercenarys and find his own dream and trough an epic sword battle our now dream searching yinglet becomes victorious and goes to find his own dream and the want to become a king yinglet will go to the princess and bang her and ruines everything and be locked up in a torture dungeon. our dream searching yinglet friend returns after 4 years or so and rescues our tortured yinglet but its far to late cause the years of torture ruined him and leaved him behind as a crippled motherfucker who constantly falls in and out his delusional dream like states but at one point he finds a amulet he once purchased from some fortune teller which actually holds significant power and he uses its power to summon up deamons and sacrifices all his friends to demons to become a demon himself which is also a king demon and the first thing he does is raping our dream searching yinglet romantic interest and everything is fucked up now. btw i spoiled the entire golden age of berserk to you now... enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TRemrRaPjc

<3 The irony is that this kid probably has a better chance at being the type of yinglet Vizlet is looking for. It's stunted, so it won't be focusing on physical activities that tire/hurt it, and it'll be made fun of by the other yinglets... so it'll be pushed to books and intellectual pursuits instead. :O Assuming it's mentally capable (at least as much as a normal yinglet) it could be Kass has already contributed to making Yinglets smarter. :D

House Ivenmoth may gain a third yinglet. My reasoning: Vizlet could shift the burden of resources for rearing the baby to Kass since she intervened, and this would also put Kass in more regular contact with said baby yinglet so as to spark maternal instinct and maybe acquire a new breeder for the enclave. Lopin would know about yinglet childhoods and Vizlet could see indirectly the affect rearing outside of an enclave would have on the younglet.

isn't that like what she should be there for? like she is not dumb as bricks if she wanted smart genes she should be in theory good enough....although that's clearly not working out given the shocking state of ying education infact i am rather disappointed in the matriarch if she is as self educated as she say's she is then she should know the need to improve teaching within the colony :/
She's an exception I would think. She stated to trade master her daughters would not be in this state. This implies all the breeders are her descendants and she may have hit the end of the on her expectations of intelligent yings of her bloodline. We would need information on the time frame a female is fertile. The Viz may have sacrificed litter opportunities while she was learning.

i mean maybe she is an exception but nothing implied she was and from what she said it was her own hard work and effort that gained her the result's and thus the intelligence she has now it's not about futility more like she has not idea how to properly teach other's and to be fair on her teaching a whole colony of creatures that have like ADHD on steroids would be difficult for most if not all people never mind a person who is a one of a kind in her own colony. i mean never mind the fact even if she did know there is also resources and also more pressing concerns for the colony like well food and such that causes education to take a back seat. that being said that green goop shit that turns people into yings is definitely something that is made by matriarchs as some kinda weird emergency back up to create a suitable matriarch from some other species when there is no suitable candidates to lead among the other female yings if the side story based on this world is anything to go by.
I'm thinking "secret of the goo" is not something the yings can make and that's why the hunter from the other enclave is working overtime to get it and any ying associated with the goo. It has been implied that the division between the lesser and greater yings has only happened centuries ago by the speculations of the Scholar Rand. This can make circumstantial theory that the goo is what elevated lesser into greaters and the cap was limited by the ability of the lesser stock; ergo Kass having greater ability before the enforced regression by ying hormones destroying his intellect.

Even in the worst case, Kas showing maternal instinct is of enough value to the clan to justify the cost of taking care of yet another useless yinglet.

Vizlet seems strangely pleased about suddenly being stricken blind by whatever is putting that glare on her glasses. Or perhaps we are about to witness the first achievement in nuclear fission and it was a Yinglet who discovered it. Heck, maybe Vizlet is about to go all super saiyan.

I don't know what you guys think, but I see a MASSIVE evolutionary leap if Kas' has ze babies.
Think about it, her genetics are Yinglet, but with some of her original humanity in it. So she would have smarter babies due to being able to possibly focus better and maybe even have more human instincts that caused humans to flourish....

That weird conflicted feeling when you feel bad for Kass so you want him to hold onto his identity as much as he can, but you're also mentally imagining yourself as Kass and you're TF trash so you want her to just give in to total yingitude (because zhat's what you'd do! zhat'd be za fun way to live.
