So... I did a thing 3-ish days ago....
This thing took 20 hours....
Is it supposed to take that long..?
No idea....
This started out - as usual - a simple practice sketch, practicing other styles. Then light-bulb moment... why not make a full piece? Then 12 hours later I realized I had to sleep. Finished the next 8 hour run the next night.
The time seemed pretty evenly split between sketching, inking, coloring, and shading, each 5 hours-ish. Perhaps a little more emphasis on the sketching and shading. I went to stupid lengths the emulate Vivzie's style as closely as possible.... I pretty much sculpted the sketches rather than actually fluidly draw them since I have no proficiency in drawing cartoon-style. Now that I think of it. This technically took 21 hours since I spent a solid hour analyzing and studying her style, art, and animations, and what-not. I think it paid off. This is the longest I ever spent on a single piece and probably won't be doing so again for some time. X_X
Well, anyways. Fan art-ing is officially a thing for me I guess. I suppose it is easier to draw established characters than my own. I really need to work on that.... -_-
In recognition of one of my favorite artist's/animator's special day and her love of stage/musicals, I did this little piece. Some of Vivzie's characters celebrating her birthday. I wanted to add a LOT more characters... Perhaps, I will later. But as stated before this piece pushed the 20 hour mark and then some. Since "Hazbin Hotel" is the newest addition to her repertoire, I figured Charlotte should be main-stage popping out of a questionable looking cake. It's hell - I'll leave it to your imagination. Shrugs. JayJay, Timber, and Charlotte are all "Surprise!" while Cameron is ever wigging out in the corner.
