One of the cruelest things my drawing professor did was making us draw crumpled aluminum foil under confusing light conditions. Also included is a bunch of drapery, some sticks and shit, a log, a glass, Mancala beads, and a gourd.
She really, really tried to kill us that week.
Done "blackout style". You cover the whole sheet black with compressed charcoal and then erase out the highlights. Very messy, but one of my favorite ways to work!
