My first ever attempt at oil painting. We were only allowed to use white, black, and burnt sienna or some color like that. We only had an hour.

Wow, they let you use BLACK? That's weird. Our teacher insists we mix it ourselves when we paint - we use white, ultramarine blue and burnt umber.

Actually, you might be right. It's been 4 years since I did this, and that sounds about right. I seem to remember something about NO BLACK ALLOWED now that you mention it.

Aaaah. That makes a lot more sense to me. :]
I like it, in any case! I have the hardest time in painting class; I'm more of a drawing person, not so much on painting...

I struggled with it pretty bad, especially when the introduced color.

Yep, we're still stuck with just those three. I'm a little nervous about doing color... I've painted plenty before, but it's been a while since I've worked with oils, and I've only ever had one decent painting teacher!!
