So after some careful consideration, I decided that I would make a bit more use of my FurAffinity account and post some of my latest work to this site. While my mainstay is still DeviantART, I would like to provide those who have watched me for the first time here but not there with some of the stuff that I've worked on recently.

"Whoa, two uploads in the same year, something must be happening!
After a stroke of inspiration from a few roleplay sessions over the past couple of weeks, I finally whipped out my sketchpad and drew a character of mine that had been around and usable by me for some time, but never properly introduced. This character was born partially out of the failure of another character design I made years ago, and ultimately never used because of the sorta boring direction I took him in. Even the names are similar but...eh.
From at least one journal I had posted here some time ago, you would know that one of my favorite Pokemon of all time is Raichu. While I really like the mascot of the Pokemon franchise quite a bit, my interest in his evolution exploded at some point. And when I was on what I considered my Pokemon high a few years back, I conceptualized a Raichu that was born around one I had made for Pokemon Platinum and Black. This was when I discovered that an iOS app could generate Pokemon, and seeing as I didn't want to go through all of Platinum again so soon after being Diamond, I decided to use this to make getting through the game a little more interesting. For some time, I had roleplay sessions with Ryex-617 about Pokemon, the teams we had and characters we attempted to make out of them, and ultimately those came to an end later on, but some ideas were left behind, and one of them was this guy.
Rae.
Pronounced "Ray," this guy started out as a cocky, hot-headed mouse who was captured by (yet to be shown) Dr. Y and his partner Comag (owned by SDragon01) to experiment with the concept of fusion, allowing individuals to take on the abilities of Pokemon. He, along with various other Pokemon, were held in captivity for future testing, although as the heroes raided their latest laboratory, one of Kye's friends, Mac, a nerdy Koopa Troopa without a shell (also yet to be shown), became trapped while trying to investigate the lab, initiating the fusion process, which brought him together with Rae. Once the lab was cleared, the Pokemon were set free and days later after everyone was taken home, a specialized vial of Reform Potion was created, allowing Mac and Rae to split back into their normal selves, with the former gaining a bit of power over electricity as a result.
Since then, this electric mouse has joined with Kyle and his friends and joined his Pokemon team. On a regular basis, he's usually very calm and laidback, usually not being that expressive, although he is very easy to trigger and get angry, and he's never afraid to throw a bad word in your direction. In the beginning, he was known to wanting to be left alone but has opened up and has become alot more friendly since then, as well as moving from a straight to more bisexual orientation.
Rae also loves to fight, he was always wanting to fight before he joined the team, but as Kyle and his friends were more laidback in their lifestyle, he fell away from fighting and took a more relaxed position. He would begin training again after an altercation with Quilava demanding complete rights to Raichu, both owned by LilArrin. These two and the rest of their exploration team are in this universe temporarily focusing on a larger threat at hand, but in the meantime, Rae had fallen for the team's founder, Raichu. With not much choice, he trained day and night for weeks to prepare himself for the fight ahead, and in the end, he was successful in defeating Quilava, leaving him a happier mouse, having a much more positive outlook on things and even shows a smile more often.
Rae is a Softie Ioan Raichu, the world known as Ioa where most of my characters are from, including most Pokemon, with some differences, namely in their body structure and abilities, although these are mainly minor differences from what are known as "Pure." His body is mainly a reddish-orange color, with the exception of his paws and his ears, which are brown and a light yellow, a sort of mixture between the color scheme of a Pure Raichu and Shiny Raichu. His eyes are dark blue, different from the black of Pure Raichus, while his pupil is still white. He doesn't wear anything with the exception of a red collar, similar to Kyle's, that dangles a circular silver tag with a thunderbolt design, and functions the same as Kyle's: it houses a speaker in the back that allows him to communicate when deformed and cannot speak, and has a tiny drop of Reform Potion inside the tag that activates automatically in the event that Rae cannot reform on his own. Most recent in what he wears is a bowtie on his tail, similar to the Guardians' Raichu (link is her most recent appearance in an image), when she placed it on him randomly to see how it would look. He grew very fond of it, as a kind gesture and link to his close friend, and decided to have one of his own, in the same color as his Trainer and of the color the Guardians' wear, with silver-tipped strands. Often, he can pluck the bowtie off and use it as a makeshift whip or rope if necessary.
Being a Raichu born in a place primarily made of magic, his body is slightly different than that of a Pure Raichu. For starters, while a Pure Raichu's average height is around 2'7", Ioan Raichu tend to be around 5' or larger! This means that they are more likely to have higher HP, ATK, and DEF stats, but much lower speed because of their added weight. Rae, during his training, has learned to move extremely fast thanks to tips and training from Kye, as well as making use of his larger legs and feet to do the job. Unlike many Pokemon, he also has learned how to incorporate his electric powers into a fighting style, so he likes to be more up-close and throwing punches and kicks rather than leaving it to pure electricity. This also helps due to the fingers he has compared to a Pure Raichu, which more times than not have no discernable fingers. It also means that he's less likely to use all four limbs to run, but to use his legs, meaning that his kicks have extra power as well.
This mouse was actually created as far back as 2013, possibly 2012. He wasn't as big to me in the beginning but after I really got into Pokemon again, and I started to appreciate Raichu more, and especially over the past couple of weeks, he's become one of my favorite characters. This is also my very first time drawing a Raichu and I'm honestly very proud about it! I wasn't too sure about his colors, as I wanted to stay close to the scheme of a Raichu for his looks, and I did want his browns and oranges to fade into each other at the arms and legs, but was unable to do so with Paint.NET.
I hope to start introducing more of my characters as I get into the zone to draw them, some of which I've never drawn their species before and I feel like I can do so when I finally put the time into it. That's really my biggest goal at this point but I hope to draw or use him more publicly as time goes on. Thanks for taking a look!"
