The Jungle is home to mighty creatures, so tribes and wanderers alike turn to magic to aid them in survival. Not all can be Casters, but anyone can use armor or weapons imbued with magic. From granting resistance to magical attacks to repelling hostile Spirits, Magical Items can give anyone an advantage against their foes. Below are some examples of such items, as well as unique Relics: one of a kind artifacts of great power...:
Spirit Amulet: Amulet carved from Spirit Wood. The likeness of every animal kingdom (Reptiles, birds, fish, etc) is carved in a circle around the likeness of Mother. These amulets allow limited access to Paleomancy and can act as a guide for travelers by making a path of green mist to guide the lost. These amulets are not very common due to how difficult it is to gather Spirit Wood, but they are a traveller’s best friend.
Mask of the Strong Mind: Golden Mask that covers the eyes and ears. The helm is shaped from enchanted gold in the image of a human face with the eyes closed. Versions for Beastfolk do exist. These masks grant resistance to hypnosis from all sources. These masks were originally made to resist the songs of Sirens, but the wearers made the mistake of thinking these masks made them invincible against Sirens. Now most of these masks are treasured trinkets to these carnivorous Merfolk...
Enchanted Staffs: Staffs that act as catalysts for spells. They can be made from any material and the enchanting process is simple, so staffs are very common around the Jungle. Wherever there is a magic user, a staff is not very far away...
Skinchanger’s Mask: Spirit Wood masks carved in the likeness of various animals. When donned, the mask transforms the wearer into the animal the mask resembles. The transformation lasts until the wearer changes back voluntarily and removes the mask.
Enchanted Weapons and Armor: Living beings are not the only things able to contain magical power. Castors can use their Life Energy to imbue weapons, armor, and clothing with the powers of the elements. Enchantments are the foundation of many magical artifacts and even the most humble and common enchantments can turn the tide of battle…
Elemental Orbs: Orbs made of crystal and imbued with the power of an element. The crystal is extremely fragile and when shattered, they release their power in a mighty elemental explosion. Thus, these orbs are often used as throwing weapons.
Water Breather’s amulet: Seashell amulet made by the Merfolk. Grants the wearer the ability to breath below the waves as the merfolk do. These Amulets are often given as gifts to those the merfolk trust.
Ring of Battle: Spirit Wood ring worn by Guardians. These rings are given by Guardians to warriors who best them in a duel. Mortal wearers gain increased resistance to harm as well as the skill and grace of the Guardians in combat.
Sun Crown: Solid gold mask and helm with the symbolic likeness of the sun engraved on it and emits a faint warmth. Sun Crowns are worn by those who master the element of Sun and those who wear one will find their sun magic to be much stronger.
Skinchanger’s Ring: Ring crafted of jade from the Spirit Realm. Grants the user the ability to transform into any creature the desire. It takes some time to master, but one who does master this ring can become one of the mightiest beasts in the Jungle…
Primal Crystal: Glowing green crystal made from colelessed Primal energy. These gems are found wherever there is a high amount of ambient Primal energy, most often around Spirit Trees. These crystal have a wide range of magical properties, but they are best known for their use in enchanting.
Sun Crystal: Pure sunlight coalesced into a golden crystal by the hand of Heliomancer. These crystals emit a faint warmth and are often used by nagas to make sunning spaces in their homes. However, these crystals can also be shattered to release their power in a blinding flash, making them a good way to stun foes. But these crystals also have even greater uses…
Moon Crystal: Pure moonlight formed into a crystal by a master Lunamancer. These gems are cherished by the Merfolk and are often used to make jewelry that strengthens Lunamancy spells. Merfolk worship the Moon, and thus are not often willing to share the properties of these gems to just anyone. This makes Moon crystals an enigma to land dwellers…
Dragon’s Visage: Golden Mask bearing the likeness of a dragon goddess. This mask is an artifact of the Dragonfolk, who are ruled by a queen of great power. The queen is a feared human eater, and some humans worship her as a goddess. This mask allows its wearer to roar like a dragon, sending close foes flying and distant ones running in fear. Those one the receiving end of this roar have claimed that the mask’s wearer becomes the feared dragon goddess for a few seconds, suggesting the goddess herself channels her power through the mask...
World’s Edge: Weapon of legend, predating all civilizations. This primal weapon was made by Mother herself during the making of the Jungle, using the ancient bedrock that is the land’s foundation. This blade contains the power of all seven elements. This weapon is said to be hidden deep in the Spirit Realm, where only the most worthy and powerful of warriors can even hope to claim it...
