Here's my second RP session with Thronezwei. Hope you all enjoy it.
First day on the force
Thronezwei: I was excited to have passed the exam to work with the city's police department with my friend. Of course, he and I were in seperate departments, as I would be working with the K9 unit, and he was on regular street patrol. I'd changed into my uniform before getting there and had entered the break room, where he'd said he'd be.
"Hey, Conor! Looking forward to your first shift on the job? I know I am!"
Omni: "You kidding? Of course I am! Now we both get to have fun doing what we do best. I get to fight crime and write tickets, and you get to train the Canine units for how to sniff out drugs. Just remember to have the emergency medical supplies in case one of the dogs sniffs some of that stuff up. I'd hate to see one of them die because of something so simple."
Thronezwei: "Don't worry about that. I'll make sure to keep some with me. The more experienced officers do, so why go against what works? Especially with the dog's health in the balance? Heh, speaking of dogs, it looks like the guys got me one of those little cakes and shaped it like one of those bones you give them to play with! Do you want any? It's a small cake, but I think there'd be enough for the both of us."
Waiting for a response, I cut a portion off of it and took a bite. It tasted delicious! Better than anything I had before, really. After the first bite, I quickly finished off the piece and cut off another and offered it to Conor. I wasn't sure what was in it, but was it ever good.
"There's even a note on it from the guys ‘welcome to the pack, Darius!' I guess they take the canine motif seriously here, huh?"
Omni: "Nah, you go ahead and eat the cake. It was meant for you. Incidentally, I got a gift from them too."
I bring my hand up to eye level and show him a bright silver ring with a bull head engraved on it and a bunch of runic designs.
"Got a note too. Kind of like yours, but instead it said welcome to the herd. Pretty cool huh?"
Thronezwei: After Conor had turned my offer down, I had eaten the piece I'd offered, which had constituted the second half of the cake in relatively short order. Strangely, I felt even better, though I'd need to hit the gym to work off the calories that came with food like that. I had to prove that I could do my job, after all.
"Very nice workmanship on that ring! Well, I guess I should get going to the pens to meet my four-legged co-workers. I still have a bit before my shift actually starts, but it's as good a time as any, right?"
I smiled. This would be a really good career for the both of us. I could tell.
Omni: "Sure. I'm probably gonna go get acquainted with a few of the guys and then hit the gym. I need to get myself in shape if I'm going to be able to take down the runners, now won't I?"
I flex my arms, which isn't very impressive since I'm fairly fat and more than just a little out of shape.
"So I guess I'll see you at the gym when you're done."
Thronezwei: "Yup! Sure thing Conor! I shouldn't be too long!"
As I headed out the door and went towards the kennels, I could've sworn that I heard footsteps approaching, which was odd considering the carpeting on the floor and I could've sworn that I could still smell a bit of that cake that I'd eaten on my fingers, since I had touched it when cutting off a piece. But I looked behind me before I entered the kennel. Another cop, about a couple of inches taller than me passed by, apparently on his way somewhere else in the station. Though when he passed by, he smiled like he knew something or that there was a joke waiting. It wasn't a cruel smile, more one that you assoicated with someone playing a light-hearted joke on someone or something. I'd saluted and then headed on in. There were several German Shepards in kennels that were quite spacious. I smiled and then spoke to them, if only for the sake of familiarizing myself with them while holding out my hand for them to sniff.
"Heya, guys and gals! I'm Darius! I'll be helping to take care of you from now on and working with ya in the field to take care of those nasty bad guys!"
It looked like they hadn't been fed yet, so I went to work getting out the food and water dishes for them.
Omni: As Darius went to get out the bowls, he could almost swear he smelt something different. Though he quickly dismissed it and layed out the bowls, filling them with water before grabbing the food from the storage unit and pouring it into the bowls. It smelled good, and his stomache growled as he let the canines out of their kennels.
Thronezwei: The smells were strong in the kennel, but being an owner of some pets, I'd grown used to it. Dogs were a little different than cats, but I liked them all the same. But as I filled the food bowls, the kibble smelled strangely appetizing to me...ah, what the heck. It wasn't poisonous to people, so I took a small handful and started to eat a little bit of it while the dogs ate from their bowls. Their tails were wagging, and they seemed pleased to see me.
"I'm happy to see you guys too! Yes I am! I wonder where the other pack members are! They had to have been there to leave me that cake...oh well. I guess they'll come in later. Until then, you guys have me!"
Absentmindedly, I picked up another handful of the food. I could always brush my teeth later. The dogs didn't seem to mind me taking the food from the bag. In fact, one of them almost looked like he was happy to see me eating as well. I couldn't really tell, though.
"I wonder how Conor's doing?"
Omni: I walk over towards the gym and find some of the guys sitting at the desks.
"Hey guys, thanks for the ring. It really suits me." I smile.
"Glad that you think so. I made it myself." A voice said behind me. I nearly jumped out of my skin. I turn around and see a guy in his very early years. He looks like he's about 19. Pretty tall, about six foot with a good strong build, dirty blonde hair and piercing blue eyes.
"You made this? Wow, you must be a real wizard when it comes to metal work then. This stuff's really high class." He chuckled at that remark, so did the rest of the guys. I didn't really get the joke, but hey, it was probably an inside thing.
"Thanks for the compliment. By the way, my name's Omni. What's yours?"
"Omni? huh, that's an interesting name. Mine's Conor. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." I say as I do a mock gentry bow. "But seriously, is that your real name?"
"Well, no, it's not really, but it is at the same time. It's kind of complicated. How about I explain it after you hit the gym?"
"Alright, I guess so. I'll be meeting with my friend Darius too. Do you mind if he sits in with us?"
"Ah, the new canine trainer? Sure. The more the merrier. I hope he liked my cooking."
"You made the cake too? Wow, you really are amazing. He wholfed the whole thing down in just a few seconds. I think he'll definately want that recipe after we talk. But yeah, I guess I'll see you after I work out." I walk over towards the door and enter the gym. After closing the door, Omni let loose a huge grin that the other cops reciprocated. They couldn't wait for the end results.
"I think it's time we checked on our new addition to the pack, wouldn't you say, boys?"
"Of course." They say grinning. "It's always fun to see their reactions."
"Indeed it is. Just like it was to see yours." They blushed a bit at that and then all made their way to the outside of the kennels before Omni glowed a little bit and a strange window opened up in front of them to let them see what was happening inside.
Thronezwei: I'd finished eating the kibble that I'd taken for myself. It had tasted even better as I'd kept on eating it. I guess the companies that advertised the flavors hadn't lied when they said they put in various meats or whatever. That aside, I wondered what the pack wanted to do next. They were obviously content after their meals. I shifted my pants a little, as I must've been sitting funny when the idea hit me. Perhaps they'd like to play? I was in a good mood, so I looked around for a ball to toss or a bone for them to chew on. As luck would have it, I found both an old tennis ball, obviously a favorite of the lead dog by the smell of it, and some rawhide bones, which were brand-new, going by the lack of tooth marks. I put away the dishes to make sure nobody made a mess when they played.
"Here ya go guys! Bones and a ball to chase!"
I placed a few of the bones on the ground for them to chew on and tossed the tennis ball. As I did so, I scratched my face. To my dismay, I felt something there. Did I miss a spot when I shaved? But then I decided that it didn't matter too much. It was a small spot. It was then that I noticed that I was still holding one of the bones. I couldn't tell why I hadn't placed it down yet...
Omni: As he looked at the chew toy in confusion, the canines began playing with their new toys, some were chewing the bones, others were chasing after the old tennis ball. The chew toys included a squeaker, and with each squeak, Darius felt more and more playful. A bulge could clearly be seen in the back of his pants, and hair was growing at a fairly quick pace. This all went unnoticed by him however, as the squeak drew his attention. He felt an urge to play with the toys and the ball, to join the pack in their merrymaking.
Thronezwei: Ordinarily, I hated the sounds those kinds of toys made like one couldn't believe. I'd often leave a room if someone was doing something with Styrofoam. But...it was like a siren's call this time. And the others looked like they were having loads of fun with their own toys. Plus, the one I was holding hadn't been in anyone's mouth as of yet, so I started to chew on it a bit. Since I lacked a muzzle it was more awkward than my fellow pack members seemed to make it look, but strangely, I didn't care. This was kinda fun! Since I couldn't chew and chase at the same time, I merely sat on the floor after adjusting my pants again. Would I need to get new ones already? But I put that concern away for the moment and followed the ball with my eyes, occasionally tossing it back so it would keep bouncing.
"Boy...this is fun! I knew I'd like this job...but not this much! Oh! I bet Conor's having fun! Or I hope he is!"
I was incredibly happy, and though I probably looked odd chomping on a dog toy, I didn't care. Everybody had their quirks, after all!
Omni: ----Back at the Gym----
I whistle as I see all the amazing work out equipment that's here. It was state of the art. Treadmills, weights, bicycles, the works. I didn't know what to try first. I finally decided on the treadmill first, but after a few minugtes of walking, I just didn't feel right on it. I decided to try out the bikes instead. That felt a little more comfortabe and I stayed on there for a good five to ten minutes at least, before my pants started to feel a little uncomfortable in the rear. I got up and decided to try out the weights. I always wanted to be as strong as a bull, and here was my chance. I didn't even notice the increase in muscle mass on my legs as I walked over to the weights.
Thronezwei: ----The Kennels----
Having gotten tired of chewing on the toy, I got up and started to chase the ball a bit, making sure to keep it going when it got stuck on occasion. My feet were starting to hurt a bit, so I took off my shoes and set them aside, well out of the way so nobody would stumble on them. I laughed as I realized that I was probably working out in my own unique way here. Though I wasn't sure if they could understand me, I kept speaking to the other pack members.
"I can see why you think this is so fun! Sometimes it's the simplest stuff that is the most fun! It's too bad you can't play tennis with a racket! You'd probably love it!"
Omni: "*whine* rackruff?" One of the dogs seemed to say. Darius was surprised just a bit, but then dismissed it as just mishearing. Dogs couldn't talk after all. He let out a little laugh that sounded almost like a bark.
Thronezwei: "I must be going crazy! I could've sworn one of you just spoke! I gotta sit down, though! I'm getting a little winded."
I kept wondering if I had heard one of the dogs speak, or if I'd been remembering an old episode of Scooby-Doo and had just imagined one of the dogs acting like Scooby and being able to speak. I chuckled again inbetween panting. I wasn't that out of shape since I had been accepted onto the force, but then again, I'd been running around like a madman. I looked around for something to drink, mentally kicking myself for not bringing a water bottle with me. The station's machines had soda in them, but I wasn't in the mood for it at the moment.
"Whew...I hope we can keep this pace up when we're on the job!"
Omni: Darius continued to pant and as he did so, his tongue grew longer, lolling out of his mouth, which began to push out into a muzzle. His nose began to change as well; it seemed to be a little more leathery now. His ears had pointed and begun to move up on his head. They also seemed to have developed a coating of fur. He was very thirsty, but didn't know where he could go to get a drink. Suddenly the answer came to him. He'd drink from one of the bowls.
Thronezwei: It would've seemed disgusting, unhygenic even, but I didn't care. It was more efficient than cupping my hands under a running faucet and trying to drink in that particular manner. But to be safe, I got a new bowl out and filled that up with water and started drinking.
"Hope you guys and gals don't mind, but I'm dying of thirst here! Once I'm finished, we can get back to playing! Does that sound good?"
I also popped a handful of the kibble in my mouth to keep my energy up. It tasted even better than before, and that hadn't seemed possible. My hands and feet felt a bit sore, but I'd been moving around a lot, and wasn't wearing any shoes, so it was my own fault. I checked my watch to see how much time I had left. Surprisingly, I had plenty of time left!
Omni: "Yeeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeah!" They panted out excitedly. "Play ruff, packleader Bark!"
Thronezwei: Needless to say, I heard the response from them clearly this time. It was excited and I could still hear doglike tones in their voices, but I heard English, plain as day. I wondered if there had been something in the cake, but for some reason, the playful feeling wasn't leaving me.
"You can...understand me? How can I understand you? Bah, who cares? Let's keep at it! I just hope Conor is having as much fun as we are!"
I took off my socks after finishing off the water and put them with my shoes. Almost immediately after tossing the ball, we were all chasing after it, occasionally grabbing it in out mouths. The thought that there was slobber on it didn't enter my mind at all! I was having too much fun, and my bare feet were giving me plenty of traction!
Omni: ---The Gym---
I exhale as I finish up another one of my reps. I never thought I'd be able to do so much weight lifting so easily in one day. I didn't really even feel tired yet. I laugh happily. "This is great!" My voice sounds a little deeper than usual, but I just brush that aside. Probably from all the work I've been doing.
---The Kennels---
Darius was running around playing like a madman, or perhaps mad dog would be a better term. As he continued to run, his nails lengthened, and grew much more sharp. His legs readjusted themselves to a digitrage stance so that he might walk on two legs or run on four, and padding grew oh his palms, fingers, and feet. His body also altered itself a bit, his chest barreling out so that he might get more air into his system at a faster rate. The shirt's buttons popping with the pressure from the expansion. The bulge in his pants was huge now, and it was moving back and forth in a constricted movement. The dogs yipped and barked playfully before they moved in and helped to get rid of the stupid human clothes. Their pack leader wouldn't be needing them anyways.
Thronezwei: "Whoa, whoa guys! Easy there! I don't want to trip!"
But as soon as they'd gotten the pants off, I felt a little better. I still had something covering me, so I wasn't completely nude below the waist, but the pressure had been relieved. It was then that I noticed something behind me. I stopped cold and started trying to track it and grab hold, and was having the time of my life doing so. I couldn't explain why I was having so much fun chasing my...tail? Since when did I have a tail? I stopped once again and looked down. My shirt was torn, and my chest had tan, brown and black fur in a pattern identical to the other Shepards in the room. My fingernails were black claws and my palms had pads on them. And for the first time, I noticed something in the middle of my vision. I touched it, and it felt like a incomplete muzzle, and my nose was feeling colder and wetter!
"Am I...turning into a German Sheppard? Am I becoming like you? Why don't I seem to care?"
Omni: "Because you've always been one of us at heart, pack leader. You're just finally getting the body to match." Darius could understand them perfectly now. And now that his scent had changed, the pack began to sniff at him, getting his new scent so that they might always know their leader. As they did so, new instincts began to flood into Darius' mind, and without even realizing it at first, he began to do the same with all the other Shephards. After all, he had to know his pack. As he walked and got their specific scents, his muzzle continued to elongate into a full dog muzzle. His fingers swelled out and shrank into the stubby forms of a canine's toes. His hands changed into full paws as he grew bigger, and his arms became canine legs. His hind legs following suit shortly thereafter. He was in pure ecstasy.
Thronezwei: "I guess I am! But why are you addressing me as your leader? I just got here!"
It didn't take long before I could identify each and every one of them by scent. They still looked the same, but I could tell. My tail wagged happily. I was having fun! First day on the job and I was already the pack leader! For a short while, we played happily, but then it suddenly hit me. They'd hired a human to take care of the dogs, not another German Sheppard! Was I trapped in this form forever? Would I be stuck in this kennel? It was fun at the moment, but...I was frightened. I started whimpering.
"Am...am I stuck? How can I go back, even part way? I don't wanna leave you guys, but I'm...I'm not cut out for this kind of life! What happened to me? What was in that cake?"
Omni: "I believe I can answer those questions." Darius quickly turned around and found that same person he had seen pass him by earlier. A shocked canine look on his face.
"How can you understand me?"
"The same way that I can understand all creatures. I'm magical. It also helps that you're able to speak both canine and human, though it may take some time before you're able to do that properly. Let me be perfectly frank. This is a very special division of the police department of the U.S. I'm about to show you what everyone in this department knows about except you and your friend Conor." With that, he began to change, slowly at first. His ears pointed, his nails sharpened a bit, and his hair seemed to change into a red color. Then the changes were more dramatic. Red hair sprouted all over his body, his face pushed out into a muzzle, and his feet started to change into a digitrade stance. His shoes disappeared, and a large bulge appeared in the seat of his pants before they changed to accommodate three flowing tails with white tips. His ears shifted to the top of his head and his hands and feet were covered with black fur up to the ankles and wrists. And as the changes finished, several rings could be visibly seen on his fingers that weren't there before. "I am a kitsune, though not by birth."
Thronezwei: "A-amazing! Are you the one who made that cake that did this to me? Is there a chance I can regain my previous form, or something inbetween? I apologize for all the questions, but I think you can understand that when I woke up this morning, I didn't expect to turn into a full-blown German Shepard, as fun as it is! And I can tell what you mean by special division.. But...oh crap! Conor! What's going to happen to him? I need to tell him! But he...he'd think I'm one of the dogs here!"
I was amazed, surprised, and somewhat upset all at the same time. I was more annoyed that I was no longer able to do something as simple as walk on two legs, and it sort of showed, as my ears were flattened against my head somewhat.
Omni: "Calm down Darius, If you remember correctly, I left a special mark on the cake, a design. It was the form you currently have. This ring here, is what I used to help you change and will help Conor change as well. You will both be able to change at will between forms. You will be able to become human, feral form, or anthro form. And with time, you will be able to just change certain parts of you. There will be some canine attributes that will remain with you always, for example, an increased sense of smell and hearing. Not as strong as in canine form, obviously, but still strong. The entire department here has different forms that they have been given. I believe you can guess what Conor will become. For now, to change, just focus on what you want to be. If you want to be completely human again, focus on being human. If you want anthro, then just focus on being an anthro. I'll also be able to provide you with some new clothes that will be able to change with you and leave when necessary, like when you are in full canine form. You can call them back when you wish with just a mental call. Now then, here are your clothes." WIth a wave of his hand, the clothes appeared in a pile, waiting for their new owner. "Now then, focus on the form you would like to take. We still need to get you over to the gym so that we can watch Conor change as well. He's already begun a bit, but I've had the transformation slow so that we can make it to watch. It's a very entertaining experience."
Thronezwei: "All right. But will I still be able to understand my packmates? It's something that might prove useful in my line of work. And he'll become a bull? I never would've imagined him becoming one. Personality doesn't really match...but here goes!"
After dragging the clothes over to a corner away from where the Kitsune was to preserve my modesty, I concentrated on what I believed an anthromorphic German Shepard would look like. Once I attained that form, I would put on the clothes that he'd provided.
"I just hope my pay isn't docked for that last pair of clothes I just ruined...and see you around, pack brothers and sisters!"
Omni: "You'll still be able to understand them. That's another little quirk. You're their leader, so naturally you need to be able to understand them. As for the clothes, don't worry about it. I'm a kitsune, remember? I can repair them. Now hurry up. We need to hurry over to the gym. Once we get over there, I'll open up a viewing window so we can see your friend transform. And don't worry. Even if the bull isn't quite the right form for him, there will be plenty of others for him to choose from."
Thronezwei: It felt funny to be walking on two legs again, but looking in the mirror after getting the clothing on, I couldn't help but wag my tail for a moment. I looked pretty much like me, only as a German Sheppard walking on two legs and with paws that were closer in function and shape to human hands, though they were still covered in the characteristic fur of a Sheppard and had claws instead of human fingernails.
"All right, let's get going then! He'll sure be surprised, that's for sure."
The two of us left and headed for the gym. I smiled when I passed another member of the K9 unit. I could tell that he had a form like mine by his scent. I probably wasn't too far off base in assuming the others were either Sheppard’s like myself or Dobermans or Rottweilers.
Omni: They quickly make their way to the gym and others join them as they pass, wanting to see the transformation take place with Conor as well. As they arrive at the door, Omni once again glows and a viewing window appears, showing Conor as he is working out. Then, with a snap of his fingers, Omni had the transformation return to its normal pace.
---Inside the Gym---
I continue to lift weights, but they just feel too light. I move on to bigger sizes. They feel comfortable for a bit, but then they feel too light for me too. I continue to increase the weight as I do various squats and arm exercises. I don't even notice how my muscles have continued to grow from the flabby form of fat into the biggest guns you've ever laid eyes on. I do notice that my clothes are feeling a bit tight however. I continue to do various exercises and decide to work on doing some curls. I do only a few and my abs become a rock hard six pack, clearly visible through my shirt. I'm still oblivious to everything going on.
Thronezwei: As I looked through the 'window', I could see that whatever magic was at work was causing Conor to go from what I remembered him looking like to like he'd been hitting the gym all his life. Which made sense, as bulls were usually associated with strength, but I could't make out any visable bovine traits as of yet, and since I wasn't physically in the room, I couldn't smell if his scent had changed. But since magic made a lot of things possible, I wondered if this window could allow smells to filter through or if I'd just need to wait. I knew he'd probably be even more surprised than I had been, given that there wasn't anyone else I could see that might give him hints early on as my fellow canines had inadvertently given me.
"Is there any way you could work some magic on this so I could tell if his scent has changed any? I just hope he doesn't panic once he notices and hurts himself. I'd hate to lose a friend."
Omni: "Oh, don't worry about that. Your friend might be a little bit shocked, but no one ever hurts themselves on my watch. Even if they do, I just use some of my healing magic. It really comes in handy when you're out in the field trying to save someone's life. As for scent, I'm afraid that this window only shows images, but don't worry. We'll get our entertainment soon enough." He gives a mischievous wink.
---In the Gym---
*Wow, what a workout. I feel like I could go on for ever.* I continue to work out and after finishing my abdominal exercises, decide to go back to the weights. Something about them just seems so alluring; With the exception of food of course. My stomach growls in agreement, but I pay it no heed. "Sometimes you have to be hungry while you work out. It's not a bad thing." That's what my dad always told me. As I continue in my workout and proceed lifting weights that I thought I would never even dream of being able to work with. They were about as light as paperweights to me. I was in ecstasy, but I was finally starting to break out in a sweat too. Surprisingly, it felt kind of good. Normally I hate doing that. As I continued to work on my reps, the sweat took its natural course down my face and onto my nose. Just as I take a big inhale of breath. I quickly flare my nostrils and snort out the sweat. Little do I know that they've stayed that way. I smell my own odor, not unpleasant, but I think I'll need a shower when this is over.
Thronezwei: It had been as I'd thought. The window had some limitations, but it really didn't matter. I could see colors and everything as if I were still human, but the canine side to me told me that using my nose to 'see' was just as good, The kitsune winked much like he had before I had changed, so I knew that something more than just muscle toning would happen soon enough. I whistled, or as best one can with a muzzle, when I noticed Conor moving to the heavier weights. Though my own change had given me more strength, I could tell that those were beyond my ability to life.
"I suppose magic would be useful for that, but it'd be hard to explain in paperwork, ya know? Most people don't really accept 'A Wizard Did It' as an explanation. By the way, what is your name? I don't think we got a chance for a formal introduction. I'm Darius Carver."
I held out my hand to be polite, since a handshake seemed like the proper way to introduce myself. As I waited, I noticed that Conor's nose had started to take on a more bovine quality to it, though the change was far from over, if what had happened to me was any indication.
Omni: "Omni's the name. Well, sort of at least. I'll be able to explain in more detail after Conor is finished with his change."
Thronezwei: "Ah, thank you Omni. But if you don't feel like explaining later if you don't need to. But what will trigger the additional changes in Conor? For me, it was the various items related to the dogs and their care. Or am I correct in guessing the weights here are somehow related to his metamorphosis in some way?"
My tail was wagging slightly, more in contentment than in joy like it had been earlier. Conor still seemed to be doing the reps that he'd been doing when his nose had started to change.
Omni: "Well, the weights are a part of it, but the real fun will begin when he starts listening to his stomach. I have a few treats in store just waiting to be put in front of him." He winks again.
Thronezwei: "I see, but what kind of treats are we talking about? Also, you made that cake, right? Does it taste just as good without the transformational effect? Because I haven't tasted anything quite like it in years!"
I kept watching though the window. There weren't any more overt changes as of yet, but somehow I knew they were coming. They had with me, after all. I also wondered if I'd be able to get away with a surprise of my own by changing into a full Sheppard and seeing if he could tell which dog was me. Or something. For now, I'd stay in this room.
Omni: "For your first question, I say just watch. As for your second, yes, the cake is very good; though the magic did help just a bit in getting you to eat it all."
---In the Gym---
"Man, I feel great!" I flex my newfound muscles in happiness. Then my stomach gives an even bigger gurgle. "Guess it's time to fill up the tank." I chuckle. Then I smell something very alluring. My stomach growls in demand of this smell. I quickly oblige as I walk over and discover, to my surprise, a huge bag of oats and wheat, along with some fresh green grass. "What the... how did this stuff get here?" My stomach gives another demanding growl, and the food smells so good. I decide, why not? I reach into the bag of oats first and take a small handful. Then I pop a little bit into my mouth. An explosion of flavor happens right inside my mouth, sweet and pure and heavenly. I moan in pleasure with my now even deeper voice and I begin to dig in in earnest.
Thronezwei: "Ah. In that case, is there a chance you sell more of them? Even without the change effect, I could see myself eating more of those. As a treat, naturally. I can't really afford to go crazy on junk food. Is that food enchanted in any way, same with the kibble, or is it just there to help; I suppose 'fuel' the change?"
I watched as Conor started eating what looked like oats of some kind. I couldn't really blame him. Working out made anyone hungry, and I liked oatmeal, though this stuff obviously wasn't that. But as I had before I'd gone over to the canine side of things, Conor didn't seem to really care that he wasn't eating what most would define as normal people food. I idly wondered if I'd even be able to have chocolate anymore. I knew it was toxic to dogs, I just didn't know if the same applied to me.
Omni: "Well, the kibble actually wasn't enchanted. It's just plain old dog food. Your canine instincts were just saying that you wanted it. It was the cake alone that changed you. And yes, I can make it without the transformation effects. And no, I don't plan on selling the cake, but I can make it for you or give you the recipe for it so you can enjoy it yourself. You look a little concerned about something. Statistically speaking most of the force here when they turn into canines worry about whether they can eat the same sweets that they used to, namely chocolate. The answer, a definate yes. I don't know about in full canine form, but in anthro form and human form, you still can."
---In the Gym---
"Oh ... this is so good!" I keep reaching into the bag of oats, enjoying every last flavor and smell as I eat. My clothes are feeling a lot tighter. Is the room getting a little smaller? Boy, my pants are starting to feel uncomfortable. I don't even realize that the source of my discomfort is a small bulge that is beginning to grow in the back of my pants and a somewhat more apparent bulge in my front.
Thronezwei: "Oh thank goodness. I don't eat chocolate nearly as much as I used to, but it's good to know I can still eat it if I wanted to! And it looks like his change is kicking in as well! One of these spiffy uniforms would probably be in order soon!"
I could see a tail begin to form as the change continued. I kept looking at his head to see when the horns that bulls were famous for having would form. Depending on what changed next, I didn't know how long I'd be waiting, as the change seemed to transform different parts of the body at random. Of course, his change could also be slower since there weren't any other bulls egging him on...or...I didn't know. The whole concept of being an anthro German Sheppard was still new to me, much less the process that went into it. I just hoped Conor would be as pleased with his change as I had. But he didn't seem to notice the change aside from what looked like minor discomfort and kept eating.
Omni: ---In the Gym---
As I continue eating, my shoes start to feel uncomfortable, so I move and take them off along with my socks before I continue my feast. I thought of continuing eating the oats, but then I thought, what the heck. Might as well try this succulent grass, right? I reach with my hand and take a small nibble. This stuff was just as good if not better than the oats had been. I let out another moan of pleasure, but it sounded more like a cow or bull's mooing. As I continue to eat, my teeth alter themselves becoming more flat and broad, perfect for the herbivore that I am becoming. My mouth extends somewhat, but not so much that it's noticeable. My nose becomes broader and much moister, and I start to feel a strange pressure in my head at two points. Not painful, actually, quite pleasurable. I let out another moo as I continue to eat, my muscle mass getting even bigger. So big in fact that my clothes begin to rip at the seams. I unconsciously raise my feet up onto the balls, which quickly end up changing to hooves and a small amount of fur begins to grow down there.
Thronezwei: When he'd first taken off his shoes, I'd noticed that his toes seemed to be merging and blackening. Ordinarily, that would be a bad sign for a human, but seeing as how he wasn't quite human anymore, it was normal. I also didn't know various cow and bull sounds, but the sounds he made seemed happy ones. But it was the grass that kicked the changes into high gear for him, his face turning into a proto-muzzle much as mine had.
"Wow, he really is getting tall...how tall do you think he'll get?"
As I asked, his feet and toes finished changing into hooves. I just hoped that he'd be able to retain full range of motion in his fingers when they finally changed.
Omni: "A good question. I honestly don't really know. It sort of varies depending on the person. But by the looks of things, he's gonna be one BIG bull. I may have to give him the ability to change his size and muscle mass at will. Otherwise he might not even fit through the door."
---In the Gym---
I really start in earnest now. The food just tastes soooooo goooooood. Grabbing it with my hands isn't enough. So I get down on all fours and start digging in with my face. I felt a little embarrassed, but no one was around, so it would be alright. At first it's a little awkward, then my tongue starts to feel weird and I find that I can grab the food much more easily now. I close my eyes as I savor the flavor of the grass as well as the oats. I don't even notice how my hands change to hooves and my arms into forelegs. I quickly devour a great deal of what was in the sacks, and it's grown hard for me to reach that delicious food. Then I feel odd, almost as if I were receiving a neck massage and all of a sudden, I can reach in further. I quickly return to attacking my feed with zeal. I feel an odd prickling sensation all over my body, but it doesn't last for too long. I figure it must be goose bumps. My bovine muzzle continues to lengthen out to its full state and my ears point and lengthen, pivoting around as I continue to moo in a state of pleasure. My head starts to feel really heavy for some reason, but then I find it feels just fine again as my neck gets the muscle it needs to support my new set of bull horns. I go through another huge growth spurt and my clothes are ripped to shreds as my chest barrels out in the proper area, and my long ropy tail is revealed in all its glory. I don't really feel all that bad surprisingly. I know I'm naked, yet I feel fine with that knowledge. I continue to eat what's left in the two bags happily as I continue to grow in size. At last I finish them off with and moo contentedly. That's when I finally noticed my new body.
Thronezwei: As Conor continued to eat, he looked more and more bovine and less and less human. It was probably what had happened with me, only on a much larger overall scale, since any bull was larger than any German Shepard would be. As with me, he seemed to go into a full bull. It was then that he seemed to notice. I didn't know if this would end well or not.
"Come on, Conor, keep calm...keep calm..."
I knew he probably couldn't hear me, but I spoke anyhow. My ears were laying a little low out of fear for what could happen if he panicked. I wondered what Omni would do if he did, in fact, panic.
*What the heck happened?!* I let out a bellow of surprise and perhaps a little anger. "Can someone please tell me what's going on here?!" I bellow in bull speak. I doubt anyone can understand me, and I'm frightened, my eyes reflecting my fright; though I also feel elated. I notice a small glint of metal on my front right hoof and to my surprise, see that the ring is still intact and had changed to suit my new size and form.
Thronezwei: "Ah, quick question for you, Omni. If I went into my full Sheppard form, would he understand me, or would I just look and sound like a normal dog to him? Either way, we should probably tell him what's going on."
I couldn't help but smile despite my worry. The process was over, and he hadn't freaked out quite as badly as I had. Or as far as I could tell. But the ring had changed to fit his new size and form. A secret like that would probably revolutionize the whole world.
Omni: "I honestly don't know. I've never had to find out, but I have my own ways of getting people to understand each other." He gives Darius a wink. "It's your choice whether you want to go in as shepherd or not. I'll make it so we can all understand each other anyways. He might feel a little more comfortable if he found that you were in the same boat as he is though."
Thronezwei: "Well, in that case, it's back to four legs for me, albeit temporarily. Hope this clothing of yours works like you said!"
I once again concentrated, though this time on the four-legged form that I had previously. I was rewarded with the sight of my clothing seeming to vanish as my fingers turned into the short stubby ones of a normal shepard and my arms becoming front legs. Soon the process was over, and I stood as what looked like to the world as your usual German Shepard, albeit a little larger and stronger overall than the typical. I guessed the members of my pack hadn't been lying when they'd called me a leader.
"How are we going to get in there? Can that window become a door?"
Omni: "You silly pooch" Omni said playfully. "Why, we use the main door of course." And with that, he turned the knob and they both entered the gym.
I watch as the door opens. I doubt that I could fit through it in my current condition. In walks Omni with one of the police dogs. There's something familiar about him, but I can't quite tell what. He smells familiar too.
"Well Conor" Omni said "I believe that some explanation is in order."
"Ya think?!?!" I bellow. This got a barking laugh out of the shephard. Then I put two and two together. "Darius? Is that you?"
Thronezwei: "Yup! It's me all right, just with a lot more hair, or rather, fur! I guess it's a good thing you turned me down on that cake, huh? But Omni here'll explain what happened! And it sure looks like hitting the gym made ya stronger!"
I stood there, tail wagging in amusement. I would shift back to the anthromorphic version after Omni explained it to Conor. No sense in rushing it, especially while he didn't know how.
Omni: I laugh a deep bullish laugh. "Yeah, I guess so. Now what exactly is going on here Omni?"
"Well, like I explained to your friend, this is a very special division of the U.S. police department. Each person here has an animal form that they can change into at will. They can also change into an anthro form. They can speak normally in animal form should they wish, and you will be able to as well, though it will take time before you master how to do that. You will also be able to change just certain parts of your body. I also have something to show you." He quickly changed into his kitusne form and I nearly jumped out of my skin. "I'm a kitsune, though I was not born this way. There is more for us to discuss, but first I think it would be best if you were to change into anthro form. Just focus on being able to walk again, what it feels like to be on two legs, to have hands, etc. I think that I'll also have to give you the ability to control how big and muscular you get, because I doubt you'll be able to fit through this door otherwise. Oh, and before I forget, here is your real uniform. It will be able to change with you as you do, and disappear into storage when you are in full bull form."
Thronezwei: After he explained the process to Conor, I did the same. The clothes once again came out of storage, and my fingers lengthened to their previous furred form as my front legs once again became my arms as my body re-adapted itself for walking upright, once again a hybrid of a human and german shepard. My legs didn't change quite as much aside from getting longer to allow bipedal locomotion.
"Ah, it always feels good to walk on two legs again. Now let's see what your hybrid form looks like!"
"Okay ... here goes." I focus on what it was like being human. I see myself walking on two legs and being able to hold things in my hands. I focus on what it was like being human, and gradually, I feel a shift. My hindquarters began to change, taking on a form more suitable for walking, though it was still perfectly comfortable on all fours as well. I watch as my forelegs shift and change back into furry arms and my hooves split back into five fingered hands, albeit with rather dark and thick nails on the ends. I see my muzzle retract a little bit, though not extremely. I feel perfectly comfortable with it the way it is. Man, I am tall. I see Omni and Darius as I stand up, towering above them, a huge mass of sheer muscle, but with the brains to go with it as well. I then realize that I'm naked in anthro form and quickly cover my privates with my huge hands before I put the clothes on. They were in a sheath, but still, I didn't really want to be seen naked, at least not yet.
Thronezwei: As soon as I noticed Conor's form shifting, I turned around to give him some privacy until Omni handed him the correct clothing. When he signaled that he had gotten them on, I turned around. He had at least a foot or two on me, and that was without the horns. Looking in a nearby mirror, I could see the differences between us in terms of muscle. I was more wiry in build, strong, but thin, while he was built like a brick house in muscles. But unlike the typical stereotype, he wasn't dumb, as strength didn't mean a lesser intelligence.
"Well, this has been an interesting first day so far, wouldn't you agree?"
Omni: "Definately."
"And it will only get more interesting, boys. I know that you two are furries. That's one reason why you two were assigned here. I grant peoples' desires animalistically speaking, to a certain degree. There are unfortunately some who are absolutely sick with their fantasies. I believe you already knew this though Conor, since you did come up with me in the first place."
Thronezwei: "We are indeed, to varying extents. And as with any interest and fandom, there are perverts, unfortunatly. But why us, if you don't mind my asking, and what do you mean when you said that Conor came up with you? You look like you're flesh and blood, and you have a scent, so you're not a figment of someone's imagination. But that aside, we will be fulfilling normal police work, right?"
I was curious, especially after what Omni had said last. His words rung true about the fandom, that there were those who seemed only interested in the darker and less savory side of things, but I honestly hoped the whole point of this unit wasn't just to chase them down. I had signed on to keep the law, especially when it came to getting illegal drugs off the street.
Omni: "Oh, don't worry Darius. I'm not saying that we should take down those people. They have the right and freeedom to think and imagine what they will. I'm not about to try to stop that. I'm just saying that I won't grant those particular twisted desires. You will be doing police work, and if you wanted to, you could even join the canine unit as they are trained to sniff out drugs and help them with that. Of course that's up to you." I gasp as I realize what Omni is talking about.
"Hold on, so you're saying that you're me?!?!"
Thronezwei: "I will do that! Might as well put this schnoz of mine to good use, plus I know the other pack members well, so we'll work well together. I just hope they have a training course for cops who are also drug-sniffing dogs."
And then Conor spoke. Even for magic, which I didn't really know that much about, that seemed impossible. How could one person exist as two completely separate people, much less with one of them being a kitsune?
"How is that even possible? I'm no expert, but wouldn't that break several laws of the universe?"
Omni: "Conor, would you like to explain this one?"
"Um... sure. You see Darius, Omni is me, and well, he's been on a lot of adventures to different worlds where he's gotten all sorts of magical abilities. Those rings are called arm and each one has a name and a special ability. One gives him the ability to travel through time and space. He can travel to different worlds and times. So he both is and isn't me."
"I'm afraid that's only half of it Conor. You and I were separated by a very powerful magic. We were both once one in body and mind. I sensed that you were my missing half when you arrived. I could feel your love and light and also just a little bit of my magical aura. I figured why not transform you and then explain."
My eyes bulge to the size of dinner plates at that. "But then what about my family? My friends?"
"Those memories, we both share. This is our home world, but there are other places that we also go to to visit other friends and family. Basically, you got the normal life experiences, and I got the uber all powerful magic. And it's about time we were one again."
Thronezwei: "This is really getting unusual...I'm not quite sure what to say here. But then again, I suppose given all that's happened today, your situation isn't all that farfetched. I mean, people don't usually turn into German Sheppards after eating a cake. But what will happen when you two become one again? Is anything going to change all that much aside from the obvious of there being one less person in the room?
Needless to say, I was confused, and it showed. I couldn't really wrap my head around it all, and I was a fan of science fiction, which used similar situations all the time.
Omni: "Well, Conor and I are both the same person, so the personality will still be there. He'll just end up remembering more vividly the details of the stories because we actually lived them. And yes, there will be one less person in the room. For the sake of simplicity, I'll turn into bull form and then we can get started."
Thronezwei: "With work, I'm guessing? Well, I'm not really sure what else to say, given that I've never encountered this before, much less heard of it."
Omni: "No, that was just because I like to let people enjoy their changes and of course because it's so entertaining to watch. With me, I can make my changes and that of others as fast or slow as I want." And with a bright flash of light, another anthro bull stood right next to me, an exact duplicate."
Thronezwei: "Okay, then...and that's an interesting ability. Now the two of you could do those old Doublemint gum commercials. At least before you become whole again. I never suspected that I would know two people that were the same person...or something like that. All this is really confusing me, no offense, Conor/Omni."
Omni: "None taken." We both respond in unison. "It would be funny to be in a furry doublemint commercial, wouldn't it?" We both have a laugh before instinctively we clasp eachothers' hands and a bright white aura surrounds us both. The mark of a sun, sort of like the ancient depictions you see on maps with the triangles sticking out appears on Omni's forehead, while I feel a mark of my own appear on my forehead. I realize with a start that it is a bright silvery white four pointed star. The marks send out two beams that meet in the middle and then fly off our heads, gradually drawing closer and closer together until they joined to create their true form, a sun crossed by a star. Memories start to flood into my mind of all the adventures I'd had and the many friends and allies I made along the way, not to mention all the fun that I had while I was separated into two separate beings. It was a little confusing having two separate sets of memories, but it wasn't a new sensation. Then the light surrounding us grew brighter as our forms first blurred and then seemed to start merging together. Eventually, only one sillouette could be seen through the light instead of two. The mark returned to its place on my forehead and blended into my fur patterns perfectly before disappearing once more. The aura of my magic died away and I opened up my eyes, whole once more.
Thronezwei: I stood there speechless while the process of them merging or...whatever happened. I couldn't really make out much due to the light that surrounded them. But when it died down, only one antho bull in a uniform was standing there. He seemed pleased, though with good reason.
"I guess congratulations are in order, Conor? I- oh geez! It's almost time for roll call! We can't be late! Should we shift back for this, or will they know who we are?"
Omni: "It's alright Darius. We can stay in anthro form. Let’s go. I'm sure they'll be waiting for us and perhaps wondering about me as well." I give him a little wink.
Thronezwei: "All right then! I'm looking forward to this! Let's get going, Conor!"
The two of us left the room we were in and headed for where the roll call would be held before the daily assignments for the day would be handed out. I guessed that we would need to assume human forms for the actual police work, unless we went into the feral forms.
Omni: As we walk in, all of the other members of the force rush in to congratulate us and pepper us with questions on how we liked the transformations. We explained how we loved them and then I explained what happed to Omni, er... me. All in all, a very good day. I look at my soon to be partner and we both smile. This was going to be a great career.
THE END
