Thanks go to  zyote for this. I have had this in my head for far to long and finally someone was able to do it justice!

This is my char. in the the World Tree RPG. His name is Corvin (forget what the last name is lol..dont have the char. sheet with me :) )

Corvin is a time mage, but unlike others of his discipline he has made a effort to be the best time mage in the world. To occomplish this he paid a visit to the god of time itself and petitioned to be its disciple. Gaining immortality and the ability to look at a person and determine thier entire journey through time he went to collect even more power. He is now considered to be one of the most dangerous and powerful mages in the world. He has used his vast powers to create a floating city as well as a prison dimension for the worst offenders in the world. He calls it very aptly, The Eternal Prison.

Corvin is power hungry however later he does mellow out some. The two griffons are time elementals sent by the god of time to assist Corvin in his tasks. The white one has the powers to chronicle and view all aspects of the time stream. The black one is perhaps the most dangerous as he can manipulate time itself and cause someone to regress, progress or even trap someone forever in stasis.

The amber bracer on his wrist is also a powerful magical item forged by Corvin and has the ability to store vast amounts of magical energy for future endevours. It also acts as a amplification item and can turn a spell meant for a single person into affecting a entire city if so needed.

Corvin isn't evil per say but he is manipulative and capable of unethical acts to get his way. However, he does have limits to what he will do. In private hes quite compassionate and very sweet. When hes in his "power grab" mode however he can appear to be quite insane.
