Ta-daaa! :D
That's right!
Jeelah is back!
With a beautiful new reference sheet by the awesome Darbaras ! ;w;
I've always been a fan of 'Raygun Gothic' (or 'Atompunk' as its sometimes called) sci-fi and I always wanted a character who fits that sort of style!
Thing is, I like it when this kind of technology is somewhat grounded in reality, so I wanted the spacesuit to be as practical as it can be while still being visually appealing.
As such, Darbaras was the best choice imho when it came to the spacesuit's design, and she was more than happy to oblige! Striking a good balance between the two! She even has this 'pulp-fiction' flair about her, which I JUST LOVE!!!
Thanks soooo much! *squishes* ;w;
Hopefully, we'll see her in action soon.

Jeelah, the Ishtari and the Assali Empire belong to me
Artwork by the great
Darbaras, check out her stuff if you haven't already! <--- <3

Glad you like! X3
Funny you should mention Fallout, because that was one of the main inspirations for this, especially the first game from 1997. Which is why the suit looks somewhat grounded and practical despite the 'Raygun Gothic' aesthetic. Not exactly 'hard' sci-fi, but it's enough to make it a little less campy I think. ^w^

The inspirations I've noticed was the gun looking a lot like the recurring easter egg alien blaster, and the jetpack being Brotherhood of Steel-ish. (Also, "microfusion power cells".) Good to know that intuition was sorta right c;
And yep, not going too far with the campiness makes the design look a lot better!
