I don't know but I hope our fandom hasn't murdered the guy.
I've seen first hand the way some of the furries in the Atlanta region target people for bullying.
Before I moved here they were all smiles and hugs and within days of my arrival it turned sour. Flame baiting and setups and gang-bullying went on for months until I became completely alienated by the local "community".
Certain individuals started spreading lies about me. Suddenly there were rumors that I pulled a gun on someone, which has never happened, and most recently one person has been trying very hard to paint me as a racist. One night one of the core staff of FWA got drunk and started joining telegram groups with several of his gang buddies, just to harass me.
They're not all bad, but there are seriously bad people in the furry "community" here, so I'm not convinced that the story about "Tumbles" is as black and white as people have said. I think there are furries in this state who destroy people for fun. They are social predators. They're the real problems, not some social misfit.
I think any person should think twice before jumping on their f'ing bandwagon. It's not cool, it's not okay.

Sorry to necro a thread but one of the most depressing things to me in life is how you will always be judged for your worst moment and never for your best. I'm pretty sure 'tumbles' was basically forced to leave and was never able to live past that moment no matter how much he might have changed. No one knows what happened to him he had no choice but to disappear forever even if he got better as a person.
I distinctly remember years after he had dropped off of the radar he went to some kind of local furmeet and someone posted a picture of him leaning forward with his asscrack showing. The thread was full of mockery and jokes at his expense.
It is a very depressing reality we live in and the internet fosters bullying and as the adage goes, it never forgets.

This is the first I've heard of this, but I didn't know him at all. Hard to remember exactly what I was thinking on a comment more than a year old though.
I was more referring to Tumbles himself though. I just don't think he deserved the reputation and stigma he got left with and how it's lasted so long.
