This is a rather large collabission for
enaxn between PearlEden and me.
Colouring this was a lot of fun in the first place but it also killed me in the end as I again put layer on top of layer of acrylics when parts weren't as glowy as I wished them to be. But I more and more enjoy experimenting with techniques that seem to work for me. Pearl did and awesome job sketching this and it was an honour for me to complete the soul of this image.
PearlEden did the lineart and concept and I coloured it.
Mixed Media on A3 watercolour paper.
Thanks a lot for looking! ^^

Awesome piece of art here! I wonder what was the source of this, i mean from which of those lot of ying - yang style images you got the idea. It somehow reminded me to the old game Dragon Strike 's intro screen (Where two dragons were fighting in the sky forming a circle), well, this is a different, and unusual concept, but the circle formation of the typical ying - yang setting caught my eyes. Well, the different types of these "dragons" also make up for it, one with a bat wing (recalling the "bad" or "dark" side), and one with a feathery wing (the "good" or "white" side). The background is also nice, even though it is just a complementary feature with no particular setting, it probably a little reminds to the four elements (fire for red, air for blue, water might also be interpreted behind the red as storming waves while the whole setting seems to be atop some volcano from which the creatures were born).
*seufzt*
