I used to do looseleaf paper comic strips, about a nerdy little rabbit scientist.
Even if they were messy as fuck, I kept them until they fell apart.
They never had any words, just emoticon bubbles in a few panels, but you could always tell what was going on, and it was always silly humor at the end.
Like, one time, the rabbit was doing an experiment in his lab, and turned on the bunsen burner. Minutes later the neighbor kids came over, complaining of a cat stuck in their tree. The rabbit was allergic to cats, but agreed to help, and in his haste only ended up turning off the burner's flame, but not the gas. The rabbit freed the cat and went home with an allergy-stuffed nose, only to find the power was out. Forgetting the bunsen burner was still technically on, and not being able to smell the gas, he lit a candle, and his house blew up.
The last panel had the crispy-fried rabbit scientist dousing a little flame clinging to the tip of his ear.
Things like that were what I did...they were adorable.
