Since she's facing to the left, (her right), her neck should be situated more toward the back the right (her left) shoulder.

Errors like these are tis why I've lost the confidence to draw freehand (without outlines).

good, because I don't! I should have went with just a simple flame trail instead of whatever I was trying to depict here. It doesn't help that the picture isn't cropped, that really is the boundary of the paper in that upper-left corner so I didn't have much room for a sweeping graceful arc :p I appreciate your comment, though!

.... I on the other hand liked your "mess", and saw this as a kind of Dr. Seus magical nonsense type of thing and looking at it really takes me back. If there's anything disagreeable in the pic, it's those gigantic ear puffballs that can only be teeming with bacteria and cake-matted with disgusting wax, totally rife for infection.

nah nah, you know I can always use honest critiques, and you've been just about the only person who's ever offered me any! I appreciate it even though we don't always (or even usually) agree *3*

And the gigantic ear puffballs are muy important to the character, so they have to be there even though I could have handled them better. I swear they didn't look as odd in the pencil sketch!

As long as I'm "right", I usually don't care whether a person agrees with me or not in a exchange/debate/argument ;) . Not implying anything here, but people are of this sort of feeling that a poorly put together opinion is on par with a carefully thought out one, or even a fact. "I don't see (enter something here) as much of a problem that I need to work on" tells me all that I need to know and I won't push the issue further - not to say that I take all my critiques seriously, as the whole 3 toes on a character when they have FIVE/FOUR FUCKING FINGERS thing is just a personal gripe
