Glad I was able to help name this. Like I said on Twitter Aliph should be grateful that as an Incubus Dan chose to split body and soul by destruction of the body....unless he didn't separate them and that's not just fat he's talking too. Dan may be too nice to totally unravel something ever was and would be but that's no reason to let him go...just as a precaution against further undeath magics, of course, no alternative reason.
It'll only be for as long as Dan lives anyway, just a millennium or so barely any time at all...though Dee did make it to 7k and still going soooo...well DP always espoused the value of patience, so I'm sure it'll be fine.
Oh, can't forget that Undead Island! With confirmation he's gone they're probably going to make this a national holiday. An annual festival day with 40,000+ partying solely about the fact that DP got digested. Sounds like a fun time.
