As usually, I thought to make a drawing where Día de Muertos be exalted and Halloween be mocked. As Mexican, I should to preserve and be proud on my country culture. But let’s be honest…. I’m from and I live in the northwest Mexican border; so I’m enough influenced by American culture too (trying to write this lines in english is also a sample of what I’m trying to say). So the best I can do now is trying to join both celebrations (Not mixing or unify them; both celebrations are similar but highly different at the same time). At the left, we have Emilia, representing the Halloween celebration. On the right, Míztica Cihuatl and the Dead Loved Ones commemoration; both girls with a spicy touch… as expected. This is why I also to issue this drawing today, not in October 31st, not in November 2nd. OK people, it’s easy to say “Happy Halloween”…. But you can't say “Feliz Dia de Muertos” so I rather to say “Have a Nice Día de Muertos!”
