For simplicity's sake (laziness's sake) I wanted to say, in reference to your last few journals, I hope everything with your mom turns out ok. I too am familiar with a situation like this..though admittedly I was a little young at the time to fully process the reality of it, and luckily things have been fine since. I wish your mom the best of luck.
