Orange red light started to stream into my room from the large curtains letting out a long yawn I slip out of bed and onto my hooves lightly trotting to the curtains and letting my magic pull them open I was gritted to the sight of storm clouds a quote of my dad’s rang in my ears. “Red sky’s in morning sailor’s take warning” shaking my head to clear it I trotted over to a long copper tube stepping on a pedal to open it I called down to the galley “say Olly if your still down there I’m on my way get the coffee ready looks like it’s going to be a long day”

After getting a good meal I made my way to the radio room peeking in on Rose and Ruby “hi you two say Rose can you keep an ear to the radio to see if there’s a storm on the way?” I ask as she smiles “already been turning in Star looks like there is one but it will be miles away from out course to May-Ha May-Ha island but I will keep an ear out if it changes course”. I nod and smile “you’re a life saver Rose we will get under way once the barge is unloaded”.

I say and head out on to the main deck pony’s and furry’s were running back and forth haling box’s from the barge I was about to call out to the crew when two hippogriff’s fly over to me I know this two very well “ Arc’s Sparks how are things going out hear”. The brother and sister smile at me as the brother Sparks starts talking “well Cap we have almost ever thing off the barge but for one thing” Arc’s chime’s in her higher voice cutting her brother off “you just have to see this Star it’s amazing”. she takes my hoof in a claw leading me to the side wood rail where a large basket was set up to take crew members down to the barge and take cargo back up

Jumping into the basket and nod to two crew members a tall dog and pony team as they swing the pulley crane arm out over the side of the ship and start to lower me down to the barge . moments later the basket touch’s the back deck of the barge jumping out of the basket as Sparks lands next to me as I make my way to the water tight door to go to the barges interarea “okay so what is it?” I ask Sparks as I take a short ramp down to the cargo bed of the barge “well Cap it’s under that tarp “. he says as I trot up to it and look under it my heart skips a beat as i take hold of the tarp with my magic and pull to reveal what appeared to be a large meatal spider it stood on 8 metal legs 4 on each side of the main body of the…….craft ? or tank…….behind the main body was a large bubbles looking engine block I could tell by the large propeller blades sticking out from a round groove

Walking up to the underside of the now conformed aircraft I ran a hoof along the underside feeling the cool meatal tell I came to a lip of a smooth panel it felt odd so I push on it and felt it slide up and then back into the aircraft’s hull

As I look up I see a hatch staring back at me just out of reach looking around I saw a hoof grip to something so taking a grip I pulled down as a solid metal ladder came down with a thud as Ark’s and Sparks came to see about the sound “Cap are you okay down there?” I heard Spark’s higher voice call out “yeah I’m okay “

I call back as the twines come in to look for them self’s as Arks smiles at my find “oh did you find a way inside thins thing Cap?” he asks as I climb the ladder to the hatch taking a hold of the two hoof grips and tried to turn it but it would not budge looking the hatch over I saw what appeared to be a pipbuck socket

looking at my right foreleg using my magic to pop the plug off and pop it into the hatch socket looking at the Pipbuck screen I saw data scroll down as Ruby’s hacking software went to work a few moments later a beep comes from my Pipbuck as I hear a click fronm above me

Taking a firm grip with my hooves I turned the locking wheel and push up as I step up the last few rungs of the ladder into the aircraft’s interarea of the aircraft turning my pipbuck’s light on I saw more boxes stacked 4 high in 2 rows leaving a lane in the middle to walk down

I saw a ray of sun light combing from a spiral step’s going to the upper part of the aircraft as I neared the steps I noted that it look as though the steps were moveable like thy were able to move into the celling

Making my way up my hooves clicking on the metal steps as I go to the next level of the aircraft as I came to the flight deck I saw something odd on the wall a pull down handle with the words “Module Release”. looking down it was hard for me to believe that I was just in an add on part of this air craft

Looking around the flight deck I came across a seat facing one wall that held the comes and raider moving forward I found the plot’s seat and right being it were 4 seats in 1 row and on
each wall were racks for weapons and 2 of them were full one weapon look to be a long red and gold pole with a blade on one end and the other look to be a long lance with a shield

Looking the weapons over my pipbuck beeps holding it up so I can see the screen my eyes go wide as 3 messages blink on screen the first one was
“Link to X117 Spider Fighter Complete” my eyes look around “well at least I know your name now” I say as I chick on the next one “Link to SW-011 Blade Complete”

Looking at the weapon taking a hold of it with my magic the same command popping up if I want to activate the weapon I place it on my back feeling how light it was going to the last one “Link to SRc005s Iris Complete”

Lifting the lance and shield with my magic so I can look it over it felt amazing this was a well-crafted weapon of war placing the weapons back on the rakes

I went up to the pilot’s seat and slip into it feeling the plush leather and soft over stuffing of the pilots seat looking forward I

saw the control yoke running my right hoof over the control’s I looking to my right I saw the rounded mounter for the radar to the left I saw the mounter that held the read out’s for the craft reaching out

My hoof I took hold of the control yoke feeling it move very easily my hind hoofs found the hoof pedals “HElLo who’s there?” I spun in my seat drawing my sword’s my horn glowing bright “whose there Arc’s Spars if this is one of your pranks it’s not funny”

I say looking around the flashing light at the com’s station trotting over I push the button one of the monitors flickers to life and the face of a Lynx stairs back at me it’s very pretty green eyes look me over before going wide “oh…….your …..not him h..how long have I been out” the Lynx ask “w….well it’s been over 300 years scans the end of the great war”


The Lynx nods “well I’m happy that you found me um….oh yes my names Nicole…..Nicole Links I’m happy to meet you caption Stardust” she says with a bow of her head as I blink “how do you know my name I never told you my name” i swore I heard her giggle

“hehe well you can say I’m a hacker like your friend Ruby oh my she’s really cute “ I blink as a long line of code starts to run past my vision

“oh that’s how you got my name you got into my pipbuck hehe you’re a naughty Lynx Nicole Ruby told me that she put in extra firewalls so no one was able to hack my pipbuck” I say with a giggle as a beeping sound comes from some small device that was plugged into the com’s console

looking more closely at the device it appeared to be more suited for a furry to use “say Caption can you pleas unplug me I’m ready to leave” using my magic I unplug the device as I look it opens up a small screen lights up and Nicole’s smiling face greats me

“mmmmmmmm that feels much better oh hehe hold on” a small light comes on as a full size hologram of Nicole appears right beside me in a pretty sleeveless purple white and black dress with with purple cuffs on all 4 legs just above her paws her light brown and black fur was in full view
“awwwwww much much better” I smile seeing Nicole’s happy smile and waging tail it’s funny for a sec I thought I felt the air move from her tail Nicole turns to me a smile on her face “thank you cap” I hold up my right foreleg
“ pleas Nicole just call me Star Dust all my friends do and besides my crew is like my family and now so are you” I say as Nicole looks me in the eye and tries to hug me but her front paws just pass through me she blushes “oh forgot I’m not in my cyber body”


Sometime later the Wind Dancer was under way to May-ha May-Ha Island the new Spider Fighter tuck away in the ships hold but little did I know that this mission may be my first and my last time at the helm of the Wind Dancer
