I get the same frustration as those who draw rabbit with paw pads and opossums with claws on all toes. We all have a bit of pettiness when it comes to art haha

Haha but I understand, I have my pettiness as well :'3 I just don't feel like people should tell other people how to draw things. Maybe a tutorial would've helped a bit more for those who are reaching after realistic proportions. Not a "do this, don't do this"

But you're correct! I agree! I think the pettiness comes out more when the artist says they're a 'realistic' artist but don't follow anatomy. But even then, sometimes the style just flows so good it doesn't bother anyone.

It was actually my favourite artist who prompted me to draw this - they have THE best grasp of anatomy, shading, positioning, everything is just perfection...except for those darned short faces on the horses they draw. All the others are amazing, just horses and it made the picture look off.

This was more of a drawing exercise for me, with a little moan tacked onto it really :P

These both look good to me :). At first I thought they were different breeds of horse. But I guess if I had to choose, I'd choose the longer face.
