When I was brainstorming ideas for Clarabelle's story, one of the ideas I originally had was an ending where it's revealed that Clarabelle is actually a mental patient at an asylum and her whole adventure was just inside her head, but I decided against it because "it was all a dream" is a cliche way to end a story and it would've made her character development less meaningful if she's been imprisoned for life all along anyway.
I might play around with her in an asylum setting with some side stuff, but it will be non-canon for her main story because I have a much better ending planned for that.
