You find yourself in a room that seemed to house food once upon a time. Faint smells linger and give you that clue as well as some crumbs and scraps fitted into shelves. It all seems to have been cleaned out, and somewhat recently you would imagine with the scents left behind.
A large rug is spread over the floor, it's welcoming to step back onto the soft floor after wandering through the cold, hard basement flooring for a bit. A lightbulb is fixed overhead, but only seems to provide very minimal light as if it's ready to go out at any moment.
There is a door that leads back upstairs as well as the openings to continue down the hallway in either direction. To your right is much more inviting and brightly lit than the dark room where you saw the flame dancing to your left. The smell of wine overwhelms your senses as you move towards the dark area to investigate...
