Hi-NRG Makes The World Go 'Round!
When I work on art, I am usually pretty heavily motivated by Eurobeat / Eurodance / ItaloDisco / Hi-NRG from the mid 80's to the early 90s... I find the high BPM and subtler tones less distracting than modern Eurobeat, which I tend to stay away from (Although I always make an exception for 'God of Romance') If you would like to hear a definitive playlist of some of the best bangers I have found from that genre, the music that pretty much sums up the best of my drawing and driving times, check out this playlist on youtube here.
You may notice the vibrant and eye-grabbing album art a lot of those singles and maxi-singles have, often with abstract artwork or patterning. "Well," I thought to myself, "I wonder if I could do one of those myself!"
One thing led to another and here's what I came up with! It was one of the more fun projects in clip studio, and it taught me a lot about what clip's layer effects do, as well as gave me my new avatar from that fake record company logo on the bottom right!
Right as I was finishing up this picture, my searching for another track to add to the playlist gave me an appropriately vaguely furry track that fits the picture well! (and might I add that it's an absolute banger along with her other single "Two by Two!" This will surely be my pinned tweet on my art twitter!
