No one ventures into the Alps much; it is all steep cliffs and frigid beauty. The only people who call it home are the aloof eagle riders, who rule the skies above the mountains from their remote eyries. Occasionally one may come gliding down from the alps in search of better hunting, or bearing news of dire import.
Another watercolor for the World Fantasy Con art show; this time featuring some very impressive mountains—and a great big eagle! Eagle Riders, while not a very original notion, are part of my FEXverse videogame, and make darn useful units.

This is amazingly beautiful painting! I love the clouds and especially the mountains - they look great! Did you use one of those painting mediumds that protect the paper from getting colour? (I don't know the exact term for that...) The eagle rider fits in the background very well but doesn't "drown" into it. Just lovely. ^^ My eyes are really resting when I look at this.
