Duckers and Melloni O'Ducky were two very happy parents to an adorable young boy named Yosh. Many of their friends and family were not supportive of their marriage and even fewer were supportive of them having children. However they knew their love would see them through and a family is what they desired more than the blessings of friends or family.
Yosh's egg was delivered by Dr. Mick D. Storke who was never one to discriminate. He was actually very happy for the couple despite the worrisome size of Mellony's egg.
Duckers and Mellony took turns ensuring their little one was kept warm and protected within his itty-bitty egg. Many wrote him off as a 'dud' that would never hatch. However the couple never gave up on their precious child safely emerging into the world.
Mick made regular visits to the O'ducky house to check on the egg. He had never lost a baby and he sure wasn't going to lose the O'Ducky's. "This stork delivers!" he would always proclaim. "Just not in the stereotypical way.".
The more Yoshi-looking than duck hatched from his egg chirping with gleeas he quickly imprinted on his mother and father. He was quite small, about half the size of a newborn Yoshi, but his parents' swaddling helped him adjust to life outside the egg.
Now we see Yosh doing what all little ones who are just gaining their mobility do. He's rocking about in a corner of the family room as Mrs. O'Ducky does the family laundry and Mr. O'ducky works on cleaning up dishes while washing and sterilizing bottles.
Being the weekend means so much needs to be done that wasn't during the work week. So Yosh is wearing one of the last shirts in his drawer and a generic diaper from an 'emergency pack of diapers' his father purchased while picking up breakfast earlier in the morning for Mellony and himself.
All-in-all Yosh is growing up like a normal baby despite his small size, slow growth, and clingyness. He is happy to not be wearing his booties because it is allowing him to discover his toes as he drinks his bottle while gazing up towards his mother.
Yosh will make many new friends and have many adventures. However, for now, he's content just enjoying his milk and ogling over his parents and how amazing they are.
VISUAL DESCRIPTION BY LUCCA:
The baby dino duck leans back on his diaper a bit, drinking his bottle with his right as his left hand reaches down exploring his toes. Yosh wore a plain blue shirt, and a plain diaper today, as well as his glasses, perhaps it was laundry day today because his mommy left his Yoshi style booties off him, that's how Yosh managed to find his toes. He had a relaxed/calm expression as he sucks his bottle. I gave this picture a blue ginham print background with some stripes as i thought it looked babyish.

D'aww… *Looks towards you with doe eyes* Hearing this from you, the very artist, makes my day! *Snugs* Thank you so very much for helping me to have great adventures with Yosh as I work RL things through.
One day, if it should come to pass, I hope the procedure for eye transplants will allow me to see these works. In the meantime I thank you for having created such a wonderful description for me to base the little adventures off of. :)

D'aww. *Crinklesnugs* Thanks, Ozzie. It was fun to write and more fun to take some updated notes on how Yosh became Yosh as a result of what I got to learn thanks to pals, like you.
Sorry for the delay in my reply to our letter. *Blush* I'm pulling out of my funk and am eager to check in on you. :)

*Snuggles the squiggle* One that will learn so much from a clever squiggle. There's just loads of things Zee-zee can teach once Yosh finally meets him at Quack-Quack's Learning Farm[/I].
It truly is a delight to think on how Yosh has so many 'milestones' all thanks to pals, like you, coming up with new ways to interact with him. *Snugs* Thank you!.

*Crinklesnugs* Thank you, Jordan. I definitely delight in taking the work of others and making something magical out of it.
You and I have shared a love for how our characters can be perceived by others. I know Yosh wouldn't be Yosh without all the input I've gotten over the years.
It will be exciting to see what will come of Dark Light, Larimar, and your other characters in the time ahead. Definitely keep me in the loop. :)

I'd guess somewhere between six to eight months.
*Shrugs* I definitely could have done more for a story. For whatever reason I felt it would be kind of fun to explore some more of Yosh's origins. They've changed over-and-over thanks to helpful friends with their creative ideas. So a scene where Yosh awes at his parents while he just enjoys himself seemed a good place to do it.
*Snuggles the cute kitty* Thanks for reading and checking it out, Kaffre. It's also, no surprise, another step in my mental recovery from all the 'blarf' to think on these things instead of those things. :)

Oh, yay! I'm always so happy when I spot you around, Skye!
I do hope you have been doing okay. Please send me a note if you feel like catching up a bit.
Pretty much all that is going on for me is posted through poems and/or journals. Not exactly super-happy time but certainly trying to get there. :)

And a happy hatch day to you, Toroth! *Crinklesnugs*
I've been trying to treat myself in small ways as I work through the divorce. Having stories to write and pictures to make little stories about really helps keep me from experiencing the physical anxiety pain of it all. I carry it in my neck and it really can act up.
However, back to the fun, I'm glad to work with "iconlucca: as she's always been a great friend who has adorable art. I need not physically see it to know that it's great and I like being able to imagine all the ways people see Yosh here. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to check this out and share your thoughts, my friend. It made me happy to commission and even happier to play with the artistic description that Lucca provided me.
How have things on your end? We got way too much rain this year and, from what I'm told, our leaves didn't get much color for Fall. Hopefully you got to see some nice colors. :)

D'aww! That had to be so adorably awesome! Did she stay by your side long? Were you able to hear her make any fox sounds? How was her coloring?
Are you still able to enjoy going for walks in your nature-filled environment? Are you and your mom getting the shelter ready for winter?
