Merlot is not bad, but as in the movie, the search for a great Pinot Noir is something more Zen-like.....

The stuff must be potent, or the quantity consumed was large: the last time I experimented with wine, I found that 750ml (Napa Ridge wines), spread out over an hour and a half could just barely produce a noticeable buzz. And I am more than a little shorter than average.

It was a standard 750 ml bottle drank over a few hours. Honestly I've never drank a bottle of wine in a day, usually spread it out over at least two and even then I might share it with a friend. I also don't drink large quantities to it doesn't take much to get me pretty trashed.

Two-Buck Chuck(Charles Shaw) Wine is hit and miss. Sometimes you get a good bottle, sometimes it is total ass, but usually it's drinkable regardless.

Northwest Michigan. We are no California, but adding 2-4 wineries a year, around 75-80 right now. 45th parallel, same as the Bordeaux region in France....
