A little backstory on this young man, this new character is my half wolf/human hybrid named Anthony Caligula (I know I have another Anthony but I kind of like the name). He is a Six year old boy (he’s thirteen in this pic) from a family of wolves. His father who was a philasopher, was a white arctic wolf and his mother was a human. He also had two older brothers who were both wolves just like their father. Although his father is a white wolf, his tail is brown possibly from his ancestry line from his father’s side of the family. He was very close with his father who would often tell him stories about his ancestors and the bloodline that is within a wolf. Lastly he is a descendant of Sköll, the son of Fenrir. One night him and his family were attacked by bandits, leaving his entire family dead. When he was found alive by the thieves, he was kidnapped and handed over to serve as a slave with other children around his age. The first month he was there, He was badly beaten by the others for being a hybrid and for being very emotional about his family’s deaths. He was eventually moved over to the cells that held the gladiators, who were very tall and buff compared to him. Most of them didn’t mind but then there were some who eventually harassed him, such as a fellow gladiator next to his cell. Every single night after a disastrous day of harassment and hard working, he gets escorted back to his cell by a guard who chains his ankle. He would cry himself to sleep and beg to the gods to give him back his family and freedom, but he will have to wait one day to see his freedom.

This idea and the backstory is based on mental illness and how painful it really can be inside people’s minds. I personally suffer from depression and anxiety which sometimes become severe. It feels like you are literally being tortured and locked up inside your own mind and there were times I’ve had thoughts about causing harm to myself. I was also a victim of bullying due to my sexuality and even though it was years ago, you feel like you really can’t let go of the past even though you want to. Half of this backstory that I made is based on my experiences and feelings (minus the murders, locked away, and close relationships). This isn’t really about me though, all I care about is for people to understand and see how bad depression can really be. We’ve already lost so many people from suicide caused by depression such as Robin Williams, Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell, Marilyn Monroe, Kurt Cobain, etc.
