Goddamn, it's been a long time. I know I uploaded 2 pics, 2 years ago, but the reality is that I haven't drawn in nearly 3 years until today. I had an idea brewing in my skull for a few weeks, and I wanted to put it on paper, but I was afraid my skill in either writing or drawing would have diminished since then.

Apparently not. But that's for others to judge. Just bear in mind that this is a work of 3 hours with no pauses, and it's not nearly done yet. Also bear in mind that I've yet to provide a proper backstory to the image, or the ones that will follow this one.

So. The UNSC Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Why'd I go with this? Because even before I knew there'd be a game about it, I loved the armor design, even though it's only marginally different from Marine armor- so until I actually color this thing (after learning), you won't know the difference.

So, backstory- SSgt. Kajex Surnahm, Class W1 combat medic, skilled markman (secondary or backup). Currently left without a team, one of only two remaining squad members after a failed 3-day operation on a Brute-occupied moon.
Currently under investigation for possible drug addiction tricyclic antidepressants (prescribed for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, though he has no prescription for it) and for destroying UNSC mandated property (caught pinning his copies of Multicultural Last Rites pamphlets to his drop pod, citing he's memorized the entire thing even in Sangheili-language).

... No, I don't have an addiction, no, I don't consider myself tragic, and to be perfectly frank, I'm the only person I know among a group of friends (for whom I'm drawing these series of pics) who MAY have played as a medic in squad-based shooters, and this kind of story works. >.> The setting is post-Covenant War, with a light alliance with Elites. I'll update with more once I have some clue of what the hell I'm doing, but in the meantime, comments and constructive criticism is welcome.
