Big page dump in the coming weeks - we've been working on the comic somewhat out of order, and in more of an 'assembly line' style where we do all parts of one sequence at once, rather than page by page. It's helping us speed up the process, even if it doesn't seem like it.

That is what arabic looks like. It's written from right to left, and is technically a calligraphic cursive developed from the syriac abjad.

Hindi is closer to what that appears to be. And you'll notice based on the position of her hand and the line of text that precedes it, Hindi is written from left to right like Latin (the Standard English Alphabet).

First of, the artwork of this chapter states it.
Amon isn't the onlyone that can grow the divine, divine is grown on large plantations as well. They just keep the flowers around as well for various reasons.
Currently the jackal is having 3 isseus:
1) His Original contract was altered via his father's request. And eventually Amon was 'given' to Manjusha via her mother.
2) Amon was on purpose addicted to the divine, a common practice to keep the slaves loyal.
3) The Shanivaar islands are known to bend the laws to a large degree since they are remote islands. Some of the laws that the Huudari had been enforced upon are being taken very lenient, as is seen with the contracts⦠Whilst slavery is not 'allowed' they find ways around it.
The world knows it, but not much can be done on it.
Plus if you read the comic inbetween the lines, you find out things about the characters you would not know before. Amon has been indentured since he was around 6 years old to the current Huudari matron of the Island. Thanks to Kadar.

True, I meant he was the only one at the Red Lantern able to grow the divine. It was a supply that Manjusha wouldn't have had to pay for.
I wasn't aware of the story behind Amon's contract. I'm gonna have to read up on it, seems I missed quite a bit. I was aware the Shanivaar were bending the rules though, that's pretty obvious from their deal with the drakes. Which does lead me to a new concern I had overnight, that if it does end up that Luther rescues Amon and the other slaves, the various houses will play ignorant and claim them back as stolen or escaped property.

It looks like dévanÔgarà ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devanagari )
umm.. things are going to get ugly :/, it was bound to happen and the idea , as said by other before, is what might happen.. but a surprise may happen along the way, I hope..we'll have to wait.
To me, the red lantern series is a connection point between OTBP and Legacy series, wich I hignly recommend reading.
I'm on my way to finish reading Legay-dawn and i suspect i'll have to go tru something I won't like much since I'm uhh..got attached?.. to some of the characters on that story.. same apply to red lanter.

Funny enough if anyone was going to try and relate to Amon...
Think of that gut wrenching feeling when your boss asks you to come into the office, and then more or less you're getting fired without getting fired but where you will go next will probably kill you.
That's that feeling right about now.
Also, Rukis, and Crew, ya'll are good about gut punching, just so you know.

Welp.... Shit. I saw this coming about a year ago..... But it doesn't make this any easier.
And it doesn't help that Manjusha is using a very crooked double-standard because she's bedding the other(arguably larger) drain on her house's finances. Lil' Miss. I'm-So-Hot isn't paying jack into the house coffers. Manjusha's mother taunts her explicitly about that.

Ah, but you forget, in Manjusha's mother references the fact that her snow snep lover is holding out, basically cheating on her end of the contract she has as an "independent" working out of the Crimson Divine.
If she's supposedly giving a cut of her personal profits to the House, then she's at the very least, not giving a full share, and lying about how much she's taking in from her customers.
And don't forget, the money from those under slave contract is STILL going to the house, simply going to repay what the house paid for their contract in the first place.
