so on halloween night i bought myself Prey and i've been playing it like crazy ever since! it's an amazing game, and the mimics remind me of headcrabs so i!! had to do the thing

From what I’ve seen of the game, its origins and inspirations are so deeply rooted in the -Shock games that I am convinced the game’s title was supposed to be “Psycho Shock” before getting changed to Prey because I don’t know.
I have no evidence for this, outside of Psycho Shock being the name of one of the unlockable powers, but just a little theory I wanted to share.
