That's just the baby, IIRC the Smeeta and Adarza look different as cubs, but effectively all look the exact same (save colors) until you make them grow up

that's how I went through the first two kavats...

I ended up buying the incubator segment that lets you rush stuff for credits instead because it was 1. more cost efficient and 2. I didn't want to wait 24 hours/spend 15 plat to rush the damn thing

Mine's an Smeeta male https://imgur.com/a/TqC6hxb first is with the armor and colors, second is him base. I wanted the long fluffy ears and frilly feather like tail. I'd say it was worth it, not all that bothered by the color pallets really.
