There are very few furries in Winnipeg and Canada in general and only 1 convention (Anthrofest) that I know of.

We need more of you guys up here, it's very lonely.

And as a side-note about Winipeg: Avoid the North End, across the train yard.

hehe, I kinda inspired someone to create a Canadianfurs FA group myself being from Ontario its good to see another Canadian furry on here, but ya know theres more than meets the eye, in regards to it as in Ontario furs there are a few who are in Ontario but haven't joined the group.

That last bit totally lost me. It's probably just a little late for me and it'll make sense tomorrow.

hehe, its kinda confusing, but none the less the groups are good for meeting different furries in your area, thats what I am doing ^^

I used to work over in the North End too. Every month or so, I would get $20 stolen by some native kid, and every year, I would have my jacket stolen by the transvestite prostitute.

lol ive been pretty lucky so far just drunks and huffers with the odd hooker thrown in...they normally leave me alone.

They just pick on me because I'm a white. Honestly, I've had one kid tell me that right to my face, "Ain't no white f***er gonna get by without payin' dah f***in' toll or have a cap popped in hi' ass." Seriously, if he didn't say "cap" and "pop" in the same sentence, insinuating he had a firearm of some sort, I would have broken his jaw and tolled him to "freakin' do good with [his] life and stop ruining his honorable heritage by resorting to crime and the silly 'gangsta' stereotype". That junk royally ticks me off.

lol I am also white they just seem to leave me be. Thankfully maybe the area is getting better? Doubt it ive probally just been lucky. I honestly get harrassed more downtown....which is upsetting because thats where i live
