My ferret, Cocoa, had to be put to sleep today. She had a cancerous growth come up in July. We went through surgery to have to removed, but we knew there might be a chance it would come back. And it did. A few weeks ago, we noticed a lump. It grew rapidly. We decided to proceed with this because putting her through more surgeries would just not be practical. We have two other ferrets, Nimbus and Snickelfritz. Cocoa and Snickel were thick as thieves. I'm worried he's going to be depressed. I guess we'll see.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. My cat of ten years went his way over a year ago, but I miss him every day.
