At last hyenas are getting some love!

Hyenas are usually depicted as louts and imbeciles. Nice to see one being depicted as a regular guy for a change.

It's not just limited to hyena characters. The species IRL has had a bad rep by humans for years. People often thinking they're dirty scavengers or poachers and a nuisance to (what is seen as the more majestic) lion. When in reality they're not so different from other pack animal societies and sometimes it's the lion prides themselves who attack them over prey and get the feuds going.

Modern biologists are trying to educate people out of old bad hyena reps. A famous one being Kevin Richardson ("The Lion Whisperer") who runs a large wildlife sanctuary in South Africa. Besides the lions he works with, he takes care of a few hyenas and he loves them. If you ever want to, look up is YouTube channel, his hyenas are very cute.
