It's been argued tat the Airflow was one of the ugliest cars of the 1930s, but I won't argue that it was. It was one of the safest, though -- the body was solid steel -- no wood in this car.

Heh.

Actually, if it hadn't been for the auto industry of the 1930s, we never would have had the steel infrastructure of mines, trains and smelters necessary to feed the wartime factories of the 1940s. The ships of the previous World War were predominantly... wood.
