This is Sara Hill, AKA Horridus, from Erik Larsen's long-running comic, The Savage Dragon. I woke up this morning in the mood to draw her because she just doesn't get enough love from anyone, seemingly not even her creator. Out of all the Savage Dragon and Freak Force comics I have she never seems to have more than a cameo appearance in a couple of the pages. And that name? Horridus? She looks cute/pretty to me even with all of those spikes. This sketch was a warm up for the actual idea I had but I put more effort into this one and I think I like how it turned out better. I can only hope I get more ideas for her since she was fun to draw and she needs more art done of her. By the way this was probably inspired by a couple of sketches

I had a feeling that my sketch may have inspired this.
You know Kadath told me that he had sent one of his fanart pieces of Horridus to Larsen himself. In his reply he mentioned that he was going to give the character a mini-story in one of the upcoming issues. That was...whay 3 years ago? And I don't think she's been seen since.

I read that earlier, though I thought that was an alternate earth. I checked around some other places including the forums at savagedragon.com. Apparently, Horridus must still be around somewhere because people were speculating about her appearing in a new Image series, Image United. I sure didn't find anything off of the Image comics wiki. That thing's horribly out of date.
