
Here's a new character of mine! Lil' Acorn, a hybrid pokemon if you'd believe it.
So, this both serves as a new character and an example of how I'll be doing my ref sheets!

Character details!
Name: Acorn
Species: Hybrid (Zekrom/Chespin)
Gender: Hermaphrodite (Using male pronouns)
Height: 0.9 meters / 2 feet 9 inches
Personality: Adventurous, Idealistic, Optimistic.
Ever curious and wondering, Acorn's an inquisitive little sort always happy to try something new or learn about how something works. He's an idealist by nature and will stubbornly keep fighting for what he believes is right and what he believes is best, no matter who's standing before him. Though he has no reservations or hesitations about defending himself he prefers to avoid violence whenever possible, in large part because he knows how much he can hurt someone.
Acorn's motto: "Hope for the best! If that doesn't work, just make it happen yourself!"
Behaviours, habits and physical traits:
- Wether he's aware of it or not, whenever he's particularly happy, Acorn's tail-generator whirrs up ever so slightly and charges him with a light amount of electric energy. Not enough to actually harm someone, but enough that one can feel it while near him.
- Acorn's electricity is green, appearing very similar in colouring to the style of his name on the sheet. When he's charged with electric power, he becomes covered with a light green-ish sheen and glow (pictured bottom left on the sheet.) The more electricity he's got charged up, the more intensely he glows and shines.
- When he's not using his hands, Acorn often wraps his "Wings" around his hands. (pictured top-middle of the sheet.) It is however something he only does when he's not using his hands, but is also not relaxing.
- While the best way to describe them are as "Wings", really, those arm-thingies are more like... A second pair of hands attached to his actual hands. A bit of a weird concept, but seeing them in action they're actually pretty handy. (Pun unintended.)
- Acorn has a pretty wide area he considers "Personal space." If him turning would smack you with his tail, you're too close. Of course, close personal friends and family can get much closer to him.
- Acorn has little to no control over the output of his tail generator. Should something scare him or make him uncomfortable or angry, it'll instinctively turn to max output and shock anyone remotely close to him with his full power.
Type: Dragon/Electric (+ Grass from Terravolt)
Ability: Terravolt.
Pokemon with this ability gain the Grass type. Its Grass and Electric type moves swaps their type to the other if the target is immune, but can't hit super-effectively if they do.
(This ability is a pun, essentially. Zekrom's ability, "Teravolt", basically means "a crap-ton of electricity" wheras this one, "Terravolt", essentially means "Earth-electricity." It was too good to pass up)
Combat ability:
Acorn has inherited a lot of raw power from Zekrom, more than enough that a single full-blast shock from him is enough to knock out cities' power and overload power plants. Though he cannot match up to Zekrom's power, he goes far beyond that of a lot of mythical pokemon, in part because as long as Acorn lives, he can constantly emitt his full-power electric blasts. His durability is nothing to sneeze at either. Though there are those that are tougher than him, compared to most he's in another league.
However, Acorn's bulky body combined with not inheriting proper wings leaves him fairly slow and immobile. Making matters worse, Acorn has very little willing control over his tail generator and can only really have it running at absolutes. Off or On, no in-betweens. Though that said, Acorn's definition of "Off" in this context still produces enough electricity to give others small jolts or fuel his Thunder Waves.
Beyond these traits, Acorn is actually a physical fighter. Armoured from the back, leaving his vulnerable spots exclusively in front of him where he can easily defend and fight back. While, technically his tail is a weak point, attacking it will not only boost Acorn's electrical power but also shock the attacker if they're too close, hence it's still safer to attack him head on.
So that's Acorn! An adorable little thing, isn't he~?
Technically, he's not really as much a hybrid of Zekrom and Chespin as a hybrid of Zekrom and the whole Chespin line, but there's mostly Chespin in there, so that's what I'll go with!
For those unaware, when I design a hybrid character, I very much design them with the mindset that it's a creature that has been actually physically bred into existence, not simply a fusion of characters.

And, uh, yes. He does have some familial relationships with a character I've already got. I, uh... Don't think I need to tell you who. I'll draw up the story of how that happened sometime later, but that one's a story for another time.
