The Pellissier Building, Home of the Wiltern Theater
This is the other impressive Art Decco edifice in my neighborhood, This is the Pellissier Building, Home of the Wiltern Theater, a fairly famous Rock and Roll theater. This is at the intersection of Wilshire Blvd, and Western Avenue. The scenes of the snake dancer in the original Blade Runner, were shot in it's extravagant lobby. The Cinema Make Up School is also in this building.

@ Schirm's And it was here in 1934 where Buster Keaton found a nickle laying in the street, it was a 1913 Buffalo nickle. He used the nickle to buy a LA Times paper and read an article where Mussolini tried out a new Greek Yogurt , strawberry flavored, apparently he enjoyed it. At the same time saw an ad in the paper where men's shirts were on sale at Montgomery Wards for $1.35 each in a variety of colors. He bought a light grey one and would later wear it in his short film Allez Oop. He accidentally spilled spaghetti sauce on it that night while eating at Musso-Franks Grill.
Architect: G. Albert Lansburgh (decoration); Stiles O. Clements (building)

Not to be That Guy, but there are two 'S' in Pellissier.
For anyone who doesn't get it, the name of the theater is a portmanteau -- it is situated at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue.
