MFF 2006 - Saphira Bares All
I haven't been happy with drawing this character since... well, since LAST MFF. :P
It's not very often that I will draw nudity. But, since nothing's really showing beyond her ass (sideboobs don't count ;P), I wouldn't classify this as anything more than "cheesecake". But, man, that is some damn fine cheesecake, ya gotta admit. ;)
It's also not very often that I use traditional media when it comes to coloring. I used a brand new set of Tria markers for this one. No colored pencils this time around except for her nose. This was the first request I took while I was in line to get into Artists Alley on Friday. The first of 10 art requests thoughout the weekend. Not a huge number, by any means. But, all of the requests were pretty elaborate. Ranging from black and white inks to full color, like this one. Only one or two pics were pencil sketches.
(I'm thinkin' next year, I'm gonna work on smaller media. That way, I have less area to draw on, meaning less drawing time. If someone wants something on larger media, the price goes up. :P )
It's also quite flattering to have a character that people deem worthy of requesting artwork of over requesting pics of their own characters. :) Means I'm gettin' up there in the furry world, huh? ;)
Enjoy!

Certainly not! :)
I love seeing how other people render my characters. It's always kind of a nice ego boost (and, really, who DOESN'T like getting their egos boosted once in a while, huh?). ;)
I'm glad you like her so much. I'm also a little surprised, to be honest. :) I really kinda came up with her design as just a quick little dead-end doodle. But, it seems she's gettin' pretty popular out there. So, I'm sure she'll be showing up quite a bit more in the future. ;)
(P.S. - Yep. That's a little heart on her rear. ;) You can thank my lovely wife, Gaby for that idea. ;))
