I drew up a new avatar based on the design of the 13th Doctor.
I'm just drawing Maddie as different animals each time at this point. It's easier than maintaining the whole modular cyborg thing.

I agree that Chibnall isn't the greatest writer for the show, but after the slog that we had to go through from Moffat, I would gladly take Chibnall's writing over anything from Series 9. I haven't felt like this since I first discovered Doctor Who (both classic and new). Jodie's fantastic, Bradley Walsh is probably one of the best parts about this series, Ryan's great, and Yaz is okay (but her character needs some improving on. The actress is perfect though). The logo is very nice, the theme is finally back to being mysterious and that title sequence!
Overall, I'm loving this series. I'm only not looking forward to one episode, but it's a while before I watch that one.

Definitely! This season's doing a lot of cool stuff - the effects are the best they've ever been, Ryan/Graham's arc is consistently excellent - the two actors have 100% nailed their chemistry. I think this latest episode will hopefully give us more Yaz, and so far nobody has been a 1 dimensional cartoon character, including the evil businessman.
So far it feels like they're establishing a baseline of what to expect from different types of episodes, and clocking in at a solid 7-8/10 each time (although Rosa was easily one of the show's best).
And that's not bad considering Moffat/RTD era stuff could hit all over that scale, even in their best seasons. It'll be cool to see the other, non-Chibnall writers hopefully telling some more personal and risky stories that can really push it over the edge for me.
