Continuing my 'sweeps month' (November, 2018), I have another 'photo-op' of my latest acquisition of "Zootopia" memorabilia...
Usually, I would frequent both the Disney Store at the Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs, Florida and the Disney Character Warehouse at Sawgrass Mills (Outlet Mall) in Sunrise, for the newest wares pertaining to the (2016) CGI animated movie - under the assumption that no other stores in Broward County would carry similar (or alternate) merchandise...
During my last visit to the Character Warehouse, one of its 'cast members' (employees) informed me about another venue I should check out, called Box Lunch - a nostalgia store which specializes in selling a variety of wares - not only including Disney stuff (T-shirts, statuettes, pins, etc.), but items from other animation studios. Acting on this hunch, I recently paid a visit to the nearest Box Lunch (which, as it turned out, was the only one) in Broward County...
Located in the Pembroke Lake Mall in Pembroke Pines, said 'cast member' wasn't kidding about the Disney inventory said store carried. They had lots of wares from such Disney films as "Frozen", "Lilo & Stitch", and even the upcoming CGI feature "Ralph Breaks the Internet". My only regret was that they had no "Zootopia" merchandise... or so I'd thought.
A small bin near the cashier had hundreds of little buttons with images of various cartoon characters (from Disney and other studios), and - as luck would have it - four of the buttons featured "Zootopia" characters (clockwise) 'Nick Wilde', 'Judy Hopps', 'Flash' and 'Clawhauser'. Not only that, they were on special: Buy one, get one FREE! So, I'd bought the quartet, and got a duplicate set for gratis (which I'm sending out to a friend of mine)!
