Wow, it's been way too long since I've posted anything. Sorry about that! I have a project that has been in the works since February, and I tried so many new techniques. This tail belong to Freya, an owl dragon hybrid.

It features lots of NFT fur, along with being fully articulated! It's 34" long and has two heavy duty belt loops. I'll get a video link here shortly.

I worked and reworked the structure a handful of times, and figuring out what materials to use as the outer "skin" to not restrict movement was a bit of a struggle as well. NFT is great because of the 4-way stretch, so a lot of additional fabric was integrated into the final design. I also chose to do the underside in Lycra for ease of stretch as well. It definitely does the job, and pulls in more dragon-eques elements.


Of course there are always things to improve on, but I'm very happy with the outcome of my first fully articulated tail. I may be offering these in the future!
