This is the most difficult project I've worked on to date. My client was absolutely fantastic, she pushed me to try and learn so many different techniques. First off are the articulated eyes. They were super fun to figure out and I love how many different expressions are obtainable with such minor adjustments. Successfully creating and sculpting a large NFT mohawk was also a new one for me. It's built off of a foam base and held in shape with a permanent fabric glue. The ears were also an experiment, ultimately we decided airbrushing the multitude of spots would be the best option. Creating the scaled neck was an interesting process of layering fleece, which are the same materials used for the arm sleeves; both have detailed airbrushing. I'm so happy with how this character came to life!
