The future could be great. I'm not saying it will be, I'm just saying that it could be.

The theme of this picture is the Victorian gentleman in the middle, who appears to have stopped evolving from his time period whilst the world continues to develop and evolve around him. It's a bit absurd but nonetheless a fun idea to play with. I also wanted to draw up a possible depiction of life in about 30 years' time or so. Nothing much has dramatically changed there because we like to hold on to certain things such as listed buildings from the past and similar designs to futuristic vehicles and gadgets to those of the present day, but then someday I might want to take this theme further and go much more further into the future.

That said, I know there is at least one other artist I can't compete with when it comes to depicting futuristic furs - but I don't think I'm doing too bad a job, though I say it myself! =P

This picture was actually started more than a year ago, but only last month I actually scanned in the original background sketch and mirrored it. The characters were then pasted in later. Took too long but I'm still satisfied with the results!
