And as the samurai walked away toward the sunset, the crimson mess of his mortal foe appeared to absorb into itself, as if to fill back together. The gaunt figure of the demonic clawed beast, now reformed, blurted in cacaphony, "Fool, it is impossible to kill that which cannot die!"
He grins, glancing back to his opponent, then chuckles. "Quite the opponent you are..." He then whipped out a .700 Nitro Express handgun (ex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lzri8dn7p0) and aims down the ironsights at his opposing force. "Let's see you reconstruct from this."
Which were primarily the 30s but both Fleischer and Disney were working at the same time in the 20s. Just trying to say that the typical rubberhosing wasn't there "a lot longer than Disney". Disney may have contributed to the decline of it, but he'd been there from damn near the start of the whole thing.
