Does Religion dictate how we live our lives OR is Religion merely a tool we exploit to justify malicious desires?
Well, I drew this to express how I see it.

Kinda reminds me of this classic except I'm wondering how this pastor got the knowledge that homosexuals are into things like deep-fisting.

Straight people can be into this too.
"AND THEN THEY EAT DA POO POO!"
Oh god eeew man just eeew!
"And he puts da hand DEEPAAAAH!"

I had happily forgotten all about that video. You are right, however, fisting is just another weird kink which is practiced by any type of person regardless of sexual orientation, yet it appears evident that the pastor intended to use anything possible to convey and emphasize his appall towards homosexuals. Homosexuals do have their share of opposers, but I will say, few are this graphic and animated.
That and if he hated homosexuals so much, why the hell did he look up for such images? Makes you wonder why so much effort to not only look up said images but even download them to his laptop. Even most homosexuals don't go that far in whatever internet searches they do these days. lol
I know this is old, but yeah, I've had this observation on religion before. I think it speaks to the person in the end, religion or not, their actions dictate their character.
I do remember a line from Aldous Huxley's
“The surest way to work up a crusade in favor of some good cause is to promise people they will have a chance of maltreating someone. To be able to destroy with good conscience, to be able to behave badly and call your bad behavior 'righteous indignation' — this is the height of psychological luxury, the most delicious of moral treats.”
I think it goes more into the desire of people to stamp out bad stuff, but as you pointed out here, it's easy to just CLAIM that something is bad and just as easily CLAIM that you're good for going against it. Some use religion for this guidance, some just their own moral compass, doesn't matter in the end. Imposing your behaviors in a way that hurts others or claim hurt when others do their own isolated thing is just bad.

Yeah, that's practically what I attempted to convey in my own comical way with my impeccable talents in artistry (ROFL) . Regardless what the original intention with a religion was, it has been distorted in the hands of humans who want it to be an instrument of war OR a tool to cause destruction/genocide with a clear conscience.
