This was a poem I did back on February 10th of 2008. I would consider this one of my finer works, and it's proven to be among my more popular ones on other sites I've hosted it, as well as coffee shops I've read it at.
Written 4 days before Valentine's Day, this is a piece of love. My attempt was one of strong imagery. I shall say no more, as I want you to enjoy the piece unbiased. If you have questions or comments, I will answer/respond to them. :3

I love the pacing and rhythm you set up in this piece; it almost feels like chanting, but without the repetition of words or beats. The quickness gives it a sort of raw feeling, like you're rushing to the end, which fits the theme excellently, and the rhyming is very well put-together. Strangely, I've always liked the concept of two souls dying and being together in the afterlife; I blame my rather Gothic sense of aesthetics.
I myself can't see anything to point out for critique in the negative, so I'll just leave you with me saying that this is lovely, dark and touching and that it was a very enjoyable read.

Thank you! ^^ I am glad you liked it.
The concept of being together in death is very touching to me as well. There's nothing more romantic than dying for the one you love, and so to die together seem rather heart-warming. Of course, having a gothic background helps one appreciate beauty in the dark.
