It's the old-fashioned ye (or ye). It's an obsolete spelling of the definite article the, and should be pronounced the same way we do today. You've probably seen this in movies like "Ye olde whatever." Don't confuse it with the pronoun ye, which means something quite different -- you -- and should be pronounced 'yee'. "Git ye up."
