UANPF#1487 - H.Kagubatan - JOURNAL#12
11/09/2048
I'm making my 12th journal since I haven't used my tablet in a month and I want to make a run-down of my equipment.
And I'm bored today.
[1/3] Current Loadout
- UAN Standard Avian-type suit (Large)
- UAN Heavy Universal Load-bearing Kinetic Skeleton
- 1 Fyrewood M32A4 w/ suppressor and underbarrel Thornback PS-6 shotgun
- 1 Hout 57 pistol
- 2 weeks worth of food and medical supplies
[2/3] STANDARD EQUIPMENT
Hout 57
Type-1 Standard Universal Armament
Horzel 5.7×29mm/20-30 round double-stack magazines
A versatile handgun that fires the same ammunition as Hout's KI90 personal defense weapon. A combination of Horzel 5.7mm rounds, which can punch through kevlar body armor, and the 57's ruggedness and reliability make it a great lifesaver in emergencies and CQC.
Kobra
Type-1 Standard Universal Armament
Horzel 5.7x29mm-9x18mm Makarov/41(5.7x29mm)-27(9x18mm) round double-stack magazines
A bullpup SMG manufactured by Čížek-Kratochvil that could be converted to a PDW through barrel switching. Though, it used a modified CZ 79 pistol as a base, the Kobra features a sturdier shell that can handle overpressure ammunition, an open-bolt mode for sustained fire and overheat prevention, and a gas switch that is helpful when a suppressor is attached.
Hout M2020
Type-2 Standard Infantry Armament
5.56x45mm HNAF, 6.8x42mm SRC, 30 round HNAF magazine
Standard-issue rifle of the Belgium Special Forces. Replacing the aging M2000, the M2020 has an extra-durable polymer frame, improved internals and customizability, while retaining its comfortable ergonomics and forward-ejection that make it a favorite among soldiers on the field. As of this writing, the UAN has fielded an M2020 variant with improved features such as sturdier internals, an integrated munitions counter and micro laser aiming module, while retaining its shape.
Kozlov A2003
Type-2 Reserve Infantry Armament
7.62x39mm, 30-50 round AK magazine
One of the most unique assault rifles in use. The Avtomat 2003 was based on the Korobov prototypes from the 1950s. When it was adopted by the Russian Urban Combat Forces in 2003, the A2003 became a favorite of RUCF operators for its accuracy, firepower and compactness, even with its unusual layout. Though, the A2003 is a 45 year old design as of this writing, the UAN keeps it in reserve due to its positive traits.
[3/3] SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
Kerberos MGL
Type-3 Infantry Support Armament
25x39mm HIVE, 10 round double-stack magazine
A powerful but rare grenade launcher. Manufactured by Fyrewood, the Kerberos MGL is designed to give maximum firepower to infantry in a small package. Uncommonly used due to its weight and aformentioned rarity, the Kerberos is nonetheless prized by military organizations and personnel due to its firepower and portability.
Blitzfaust 3
Type-3 Infantry Support Armament
78mm HEAP warhead
Standard-issue anti-personnel rocket launcher of the Deutschland Army. The Blitzfaust 3 is designed to be used in a variety of environments, ranging from forests, dry deserts, and even the wet tropics, while being easy to use by any soldier.
PMSW-157
Type-4 Specialized Armament
5x54mm HV-KEP, 15-round snail drum, internal battery with enough power for 110 full-power shots
Only used in situations where versatile, heavy anti-vehicle support is needed, the PMSW-157 (Portable Magnetic Support Weapon #157) is one of the most potent weapons in existance. With only 48 created, the PMSW-157 has been limited to use by Special Forces worldwide. The PMSW-157 can be operated standalone with limited battery power, or crew-served with a power cable connection, and an adjustable power setting results in shots that can cut through a light-armored vehicle, or punch though tank armor.
Steyr HIWS
Type-3 Heavy Support Armament
14.7x142mm Steyr APFSDS
One of the largest anti-material weapons ever created, the HIWS (Heavy Infantry Weapon System) is a smoothbore weapon designed to punch through vehicles, regardless of how light or heavy their armor was, using depleted uranium flechettes that have been carefully manufactured alongside the weapon itself, which is designed to take the stress and recoil of each shot of its unique ammunition. The biggest downside to the HIWS, however, is the weight and recoil, which forces users to keep it emplaced, or use an exoskeleton to make it portable, while managing the weight and recoil.
